It's hot here, too. Dunno how hot it's gonna get today, but we've had the heat index reach nearly 100 a time or two. Thank CC we have 2 pools! I just don't like to go there alone. Well, fanks to Ceiling Cat, I haven't been affected too harshly by teh economy...Teh lady I take care of is healthy & had $$ stowed-away to cover their care. (and I think insurance pays a lot of it...) Again, fanks to CC, she's healthier than I am & will probly outlive ME! LOL! Hopefully we'll see the economy turn around in a few months. I hate to see all the ppl who ARE having trouble! Take care & stay in touch! I miss you when you're gone!

Unfortunately, no one had pets in teh building. Teh apt managers frowned upon pets...ai still haz nightmares, thinking about what could've been...ai just try to remember that they're safe, secure AND have a nice house now. It's beside a busy road, but she's gonna have a tantrum in the leasing office if she isn't allowed to have a fence put up in at least PART of her yard...to secure teh boys. She'll padlock them in since the oldest is so sneaky...but that way they'll have their outside time & she can get chores done without having to be standing over them every second. The road is so busy, I would insist on a fenced-in area for play! Being an over-protective Grammy, I DARE anybody to fuss over the padlock!!!! RRRRRAAAAWWWRRR!
Sawry u bin feelin' porely...glad ur on teh road to recovery! DD is happy as a lark, getting her new house set to rights. Have gotten lotz of pix as she shapes up the kitchen & livingroom. Teh neighbor did them a favor when she left whatever it was on teh stove & let it catch fire!!! Otherwise, they'd still be crammed into that tiny apt for another few years! Ceiling Cat musta heard us griping about how little her living space was & fixed it for her! Teh best fing was NOBODY got hurt & they didn't lose anything. Eberyfing could be febreezed, aired-out or easily replaced! Ai shudder to fink of if that had happened at 4:30 A.m. instead of P.m. when e'body woulda been sleepin'!!!
Hai! Hazzn't seen you around inna while...hope you're doin' all fine! Mai dd got sooted-out of her apt & they got a house. They had started talking about looking for one, but couldn't figure out how to save enough $$ to manage it when their neighbor's apt caught fire. Problem solved! Nobody was hurt & there was little property damage except to the building. She and the boys came & stayed with me all last week while her hubby got the new house sorted! Yippee!! She finally has a good place for the boys to romp & not drive her completely crazy!
Sounds like fun! I cooked most of Catmas Day & Boxing Day for the kids. They really enjoyed themselves. New Year's will be postponed until the weekend, as I don't take holidays off in my business. I'll have my New Year's celebration over the weekend!
Been missin' you around! Would almost think you had a mad, but it's the holidaze & everybody has been trying to hit the site when they could. Since we didn't have our Catmas til Friday, I had extra time to be here....some life, huh...?! Have a safe New Year's...I'll have it to myself & celebrate next weekend...since I'll be working New Year's Eve & night. We'll snooze the new year in...LOL!
