It was oppressively hot and humid, so we stayed inside for the 4th. We live on the top floor of a 3 story building, so we just looked out our various windows to see the fireworks. How was your 4th? Did you cook out?

Thanks, that's one of my favorite Pepper pictures. I had a nice day yesterday, didn't do anything special. How about you?

ed - keep in mind that Poltergeist is 20+ years old, if you see it. It was creepy as hell back then. There are a couple of them, see the first one. That's the only one that's really good.

We got a thunderstorm that was just like the one in the movie Poltergeist. Remember when the son/kid is counting between the lightning strike and the thunder?... and the numbers keep getting closer?...then pretty soon the kid can't count because it lightnings and thunders at the same time? Yeah... the storm we had was JUST like that-- only at 6 a.m. Oh.. .and no ghosts or sisters getting sucked into the t.v.

I ran some errands this morning and it's miserable out, as I expected. Unfortunately we get tornadoes in MN, too. I live in a metropolitan area so we don't usually have to worry about them too much since they usually dissipate before they reach us, but there was a very serious one north of here earlier this month. We get some crazy weather up here!

We finally got one of the predicted thunderstorms last night, and it was a biggie. There was flash-flooding on multiple highways, including the two that I drive on the most. So today will be ridiculously humid and tonight we'll probably get another storm. I think I'll stay in and just pet the kitty tonight. :-D

Of course he doesn't like the treats or mice you got. He wanted the OTHER ones at the store. You know... the ones you didn't get. LOL Maybe the others will use them. With the $ you bought treats and mice with you could've gotten a new Kevin, am I right? Me and the boys are doing okay. Our summer has been crazy humid so far.

Our neighbor lady mows about every three days - I don't know how she can stand it. Pepper doesn't even want to sniff outside much when it's like this. We typically have a couple of stretches in the 90s and the rare 100+ every summer, and I can't hardly stand to walk from my house to the car and from the car into work. Ugh.

Hey! Where have you been? Happy belated b-day to Joey! What did he get for his b-day? Do you still have Carl & Kevin?

It's been hot & humid here lately. Yesterday was a little cooler (in the 70s) but still quite humid. The weathercasters keep saying we're in for some thunderstorms but nothing materializes. Starting today we're back in the upper 80s for at least the next few days. You must get quite a bit of heat down there in the summer, huh?

Glad to hear you're all OK. Poor Speedy. That doesn't sound like fun. Is he wearing the dreaded cone of shame? :-) Happy belated birthday to Joey! Today is Pepper's adoption anniversary, which we celebrate since we don't know her birthday. She got a new sisal scratcher and some catnip toys. She's on kitty cloud 9, lol!

Hey, long time no "see"! Welcome back! Pepper and I are fine. She's sharing the desk chair with me right now. I went to Happy Hour yesterday after work with a couple of friends and Pepper must have REALLY missed me because she's stayed right by me since I got home - all night and all day today, lol. How are you? And the cats & Speedy? I heard on the news about the flash-flooding in Arkansas and was hoping you weren't affected.
