Hi there. Things in Bucharest are rainy for now. On the mountain side we have colorful trees too, around here, not much. We have just yellow trees. :) School started again, last year in collage hopefully, got in the PR section like I wanted... No good teachers, same people teaching different stuff... On the other hard the management in the company has changed to a worse one, we got all more work, less or same pay. But hey, life goes on... I'm pretty ok cosindering the circumstances, planning a short vacation... :)
Hi, how's things in Bucharest? Do you have fall weather there that's not too cold? We just finished the Fall Foliage season here. People come to the Northeastern U.S. to see the trees with brightly colored leaves - red, yellow, and orange. That's mostly all finished in Massachusetts. How is school? Do you have any good teachers or interesting courses? I hope so. Tutoring is OK, but I would like more students. Keep warm. -- Len
Exams over! At least that. Work's ok. I can live with what I have. Still trying to find a job for my friend. Otherwise all good. 11 months... wow, that's a lot. I stayed around 6 months without a job and I got pretty depressed. Good luck, again, with the tutoting. Hope you get a lot of students :) But keep out of the stress! :)
Hi, how's things? Are you done with exams session yet? I hope so. That's too bad about your friend, not being able to find work. I had to look for 11 months once. I think that was the longest time I had to do a job search. Is your work still good? Is your boss being a nice guy? Tutoring is still slow. It's just a few weeks into the school year. It's usually not so great this time of year. Weather has been mostly nice. I hope really hot and humnid days are over. But I hope colder days don't start for a while. Stay well. -- Len
Hey there. And LOL to Budapest! Anyhoo, school didn't start yet, It actually starts in October. For now I have the exams "session", retakes for what students failed in the summer. :) Had one today, 3 to go! Work is ok for now. I am trying to find a job for my best friend. She's pretty... depressed by now. 6 months no job, because of the "economical crisis"... Good luck with the tutoting!!!!
So how are thngs in Bucharest? (I almost typed "Budapest" - oops). How's work going? Has school started yet? Hope you got at least one instructor who is more interesting than usual. Is the weather better there? We had hot and humid for a while, now it really nice weather - warm about 80 F (27 C I think) and not humid. School is starting up here too. Some colleges have started and also some public schools. Others start next week. Bye for now -- Len
I hope your vacation is restful (lots of sleep) and relaxing (few thoughts about work). Sorry to hear that the same professors are teaching your courses from one year to the next. Maybe you'll have one who is the exception and is not a crappy teacher. Hope the weather is nicer (or at least not as bad) during your time off. Maybe you can get out a little and meet some friends. In any case, enjoy every day of it. -- Len
Wow, sorry to hear about the situation in college. It's too bad the professors don't enjoy actually teaching interesting and useful things to their students. I know what you mean about being so stressed that you want to yell at other people, and they are not even the ones causing the problems. Well, I hope your boss goes on a long vacation, so maybe that will be like a vacation for you. And I really hope that for this coming school year, you get some professors who are at least a little nice to their students. -- Len
Unfortunately collage didn't teach anything. I work in press for more than 5 years. I started collage just to get a degree that maybe one day it will be useful. I spent a $^%# lo@d of money on it to listen to communist (and will be for another year), frustrated professors that hate students and enjoy making their life miserable, because it is forbidden to be young an actually work and be able to sustain yourself at this age, because they didn't. Is forbidden to be happy and content, if you are, they'll show you... I need a break. I am so stressed I could snap and yell at people for nothin'... This is one frustrated message :P
Hi, that's too bad about the weather where you are. We had rain here for most of June (unusual) and some of July, but now it's been sunny, and at least not humid. That's also too bad about your boss. It sucks to have a lousy boss. I certainly had more than one crummy one when I worked at computer companies. That's great that you will be in your last year of college. I hope you'll be taking courses that you really like. Not too much going on with me. Tutoring four students, which is not too many. And taking a few bicycle rides. Otherwise, just trying to enjoy the summer. Stay dry. --Len
Uhm, things are not that great, life I guess and no, we do not have summer weather. Is akshully pretty shitty here, raining BAD all the time. On the other hand is fine with me, I can't go in a vacation anyway XD . Work sucks, well, work is ok, my boss sucks and school, for now I'm in summer break. I'm studyin' journalism... Goin' in the last year of collage... Hopefully... :) How are things at your end?
My friends all promised to teach me how to ride a bike, but since we have 2 jobs or one job and school when we have time we just... sleep. :D We are sleep deprived... haha. Anyway, thx for the tip. I'll try that too. Akshully it might work better than my friends because it's a thing you make with a sort of stranger, not a friend when u can always cancel. :D You take care too.
I never got Sky-One on my cable. I like the Cartoon Network. I really like the program Futurama. It used to be on Cartoon Network, now it's on Comedy Channel. I'm sorry you never learned to ride a bike. I don't know what your mother was thinking, only giving you three days to be able to ride it by yourself. Here's an idea - a local bike shop may be able to give you a lesson or two. It will only take a hour or so to learn. And only a couple of hours of practice to get good. Probably not all bike shops will give a lesson, but I bet there is at least one which will do it. I would give you lessons if I was closer :-) With the warmer weather now and the rain stopping there (hopefully), it's a good time to ride. Well, think about it. Take care -- Len
Yes, I did. :) But that was when I had the time and "muneys". And yeah, MTV and Sky One was one of the american channels got my English going. We don't get Sky One anymore, but I remember they had great cartoons in the morning. Those got my "geek comics addiction too". Transformers, The Fantastic Four, Spiderman, etc. Now we get Cartoon Network but it's dubbed in romanian. XD Anyway, for now CNN and other channels do. :) You're tutoring math? Wow, I hate it. Never got a quite good hold of it. As for the bike, I know its sounds "not credible", but I never had a change to know how to ride one, I never had a bike when I was little, uhm, I had one, but my mom was so brilliant that she sold it after three days I got it, because I didn't know how to ride it. Now I'm 27 and can't ride a bike, I own one, but never time for it, work, work, school, work, work... Otherise good, bad, the usual. :)
You've traveled quite a bit in Europe. I'd like to go to Italy and Greece. I take a look at a map of Romania. I see where the Black Sea is. Guess it's not possible to get a picture of sunset over the water from the Romanian coastline. That's funny that MTV helped you pick up English. Are there any other American TV channels you like? I was pretty busy with math tutoring in the last two months of the school year. The mothers were worried about their kids' math grades and wanted them to get help. The school year is just finsished here, so the tutoring has slowed down quite a bit. But I am tutoring several kids over the summer. We had about three weeks of rain, but it may have stopped now. I took a bicycle ride yesterday for the first time in a few weeks. I really like to bike. I saw my friend Amity (the dog) several times recently. She works in a kitchen and cooking supplies store. She greets all the customers. And how are you doing? :-)
I've been in France and Holland, Germany, Greece, Italy, but because these are countries closer to Romania. :) Yeah, I did study English in school, but I actually by the time I start studying it I already knew it... the MTV effect. :P I study French also, but like you said, it was more difficult. I basically kinda forgot it by now. I only understand it when I hear it, but it's pretty difficult to speak it or write it. :) And how are you? :)
