Cute!.....apart from the bats n snakes! http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/18035848

I wonder if this helped sell any cheeseburgers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvIFHFfh25w
At least you'll be able to sleep if it gets close to 70 by the time Elf drags you off to bed. We had a pleasant afternoon. The folks got to read my fan mail while we hung out on the patio snorting apple wood smoke. The ribs turned out very well so it was a simple and tasty meal. The show was pretty good though we bailed at intermission. It was clear that Dad's leg was really bothering him and it didn't take much prodding when I suggested that we just take off. Sigh...I really hope this surgery gives him some relief. I'm glad your sister waded in for another game. Maybe she won't set you up for another triple word score and you'll have to grind it out to the end. We can't have you getting too cocky.
I hope it cools off for you this evening. I have the folks here for dinner and a show. We'll be going to see Guys and Dolls tonight. The ribs have been cooking for 4 1/2 hours so far and they're about to head to the grill for that final carmelization...yum! Did sis start a new game yet?
Thank goodness they don't last long, or I'd be the one with my head under the pillow! We live in a tall house, so when I'm up on the third floor, it's really loud, which is why I make a hasty retreat down the stairs and I don't have to tell Nellie twice. If it's not too bad for me, but it still upsets her, she gets under my desk and growls. Here's hoping we don't have any dangerous ones this summer!
Thanks Paws i think he will listen to Marie he usually does hopefully she will offer the right advise for him..Hope Chuck's dad is doing ok? The window boxes are doing ok now they got a VERY good watering last night and today lol! It's lovely to see them perk up again
Hai paws yup was speaking to him today and the pain was bad so he was going to take the tablets trying to persuade him to go back to doc cos the MRI apparently is not til July and its the CT scan of his bowel due in june.. Think he could do with an xray to check that his spine is ok but will need more persuading! Marie is down at home tonight so maybe she will talk to him shes a nurse and he listens to her advise more.. Another belting hot day here dunno what it was but it was MORE then 23c for sure!

We're drying out. It's getting more like it's supposed to be -- hot, sticky, and humid. Here, though, we have a lot of trees, which makes the air feel a little cooler, and most of the time we have a breeze. But you know as well as I do that when it gets hot and stays hot, we have those nasty little thunderboomers in the late afternoons. Nellie hates them fings! She tries to hide her head under the couch pillows. She's not even suppose to be on the couch. She doesn't ask permission. I guess she figures it's a dire emergency!!
I'd imagine that adding cats is easier than adding dogs. I doubt a second cat adds much more to the labor and managing equation. A second dog would make a huge difference. Even adding a single dog to a cat household changes daily routines substantially. Both your 2 legger and 4 legger are darn good ones. I'd be afraid to mess with the chemistry.
It just all rings so true...the craziness and frustrations and in the end the love in spite of it all. I'm content to live vicariously both with kids and extra critters at this point. I'll get my fix through youtube and visits but stick with my largely manageable and terribly loveable little girl. I know you were kidding about adding kids. It occurs to me that a similar song could be done about having a pack of animals in the house...could be pretty funny.
'Nuts', eh? Yeah I suspect that's about right. I haven't EDd any comments between you and Syl this morning so I don't know if she shared her evening chaos with you. As I read her note I smiled broadly at the description because it's all so familiar. It also reminded me of a song from the 70s. I'm sure you heard this one but it was fun to listen to again this morning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQlvyhTfaos
