Good news, good news, good news! Gwynn is definitely better. The infections seem to be mostly under control, and they are aggressivelely breaking up and vacuuming out areas of her lungs that are not clearing. The swelling in her right arm is due to bloodclots that formed around the line they put in for medication etc and because of the drugs they were treating her with. They have her on less knock out drops and on some steroids now. The result? A conscious and BORED Gwynn! I am switching over toward more pain relief for her and a few other things to help, like making sure no clots escape or develop in crucial areas to life and wellbeing. Please pass this along....still not real comfy myself.

Ohai, I wish I could give you an update on Gwynn, but there has been nothing from Rich in two days. I am striving mightily against falling into worry, but Rich has pretty much been like clockwork with his updates except for a couple that came later in the day after waiting to hear from doctors. Still, I remind myself that worrying over something that you cannot control and about something that may not have happened is a way to cause drama for oneself and all kinds of physical discomforts, that can turn into illness if it continues and becomes habitual. So, I am striving to breathe, be calm and wait....and if nothing has gone wrong will strive not to let Rich know, because having a wife in the hospital is enough. Anyway, please pass it along. No news all weekend...at least so far.
