Believe me, people are all over Ben and have been all along. LittleAPC didn't get 600+ lols for nothing, most of them anti. I just read that if you use Facebork to make a comment, it posts your FB name, not your ICHC name. How confusing is that? Not to menton most FB names are the real name!!
Now, I am being told that they are (1) going to change the tiny lol-maker names on the FP to avatars (you can see), return the photo credit and come up with something close to "click for more". With the return already of re-caption and who has seen your lols, the only crappy thing left is Facebork.
As for a novel, I have gotten longer rants than that from you. Buahahahaha
I know. A lot of people are having trouble. It's just a complete mess. People are trying to be upbeat about it but it's somewhat depressing.
And, I have lost friends because of my stand and I can live with that too. I have not un-friended anybody because they disagreed with me.
I am glad for the respite to give me time to organize what we are going to do. Otherwise, I am not making lols at all. Chat only. I have spent an entire day going back and forth with Ben and then several emails to and from Emily. I have made my stand and had my say. I have no intentions of being repetitious about it. I am faving my friend, yes. They didn't do this. Most are unhappy just trying to move on while they wait for the changes that have been promised. I think the longer it goes the more likely they will end up accepting it like it is. Those trying to make us feel are better about it are our friends and they also have the right to their opinion. I am not going to even begin to argue with every opinion. I have stated mine and I am staying with that.

Two part: answer to changes: I’d like to voice how I see the changes, what they are and why they are happening. I am not in any way implying any of what I say is based on anything except how I feel after all the complaints going past my dashboard, the messages I received when it was first launched and reading the “mission statement” by Mr. Huh. I think the fear I had that there was some sort of merger with Cheezburgers and Facebook was unfounded. Rather I think it is more of an integration. I believe the changes are part of an overall corporate plan to bring ICHC into a more globally important position that it has been in the past. This is going to be done because of two things. 1. ICHC is viewed as highly successful and as a sleeping giant. It has not been viewed in the technology world as any great shakes because it is rather simple and based on a close (or closed, depending on your viewpoint) community. In order to enter the world of great technology, changes have to be made. 2. The world has shifted to social media. ICHC is considered a social media site that is not integrated and does not have the global recognition other sites like Facebook, Twitter and others enjoy. You do not see the ICHC logo on every site. That logo draws users and increases revenue exponentially. That logo has to become a force to be reckoned with in order to get the recognition sought. Regarding the comments section, I think that is going to become more Twitter-oriented. Now you can only make comments through other social media. It will no longer be part of a close community. Through “forcing” us to only be able to make them through Yahoo, Aol, Hotmail and Facebook, the community will be “opened” up. As for the new way of handling photos, the photos and captions are now being exposed more globally as well as probably being integrated into ICHC’s Facebook account. Thereby giving ICHC a chance to “grab” onto Facebook’s users in order to get bigger and bigger and bigger. This is how you will “discover new friends”. Everything you do will be more over the net than you think. The word of mouth that has pretty much generated new users will be a thing of the past. The new photo exposure concept easily explains why SOPA was so repugnant to Mr. Huh. It would have definitely put a spanner in the works regarding the copyright. It already does but that would have dashed his expansion plans.
I believe the profile page will be next and it will be more like a Facebook/Twitter format. Your friends at ICHC might automatically integrate your friends there. There is definitely something coming. One peep said this is a “work in progress”. Sounds like she knew more than us and wasn’t telling her so-called friends to get ready. Just guessing. Together with a friend, I have read interviews given by Mr. Huh. I fully understand that things can be taken out of context. However, two things stood out. He was viewed as the “wonder boy” of the computer world because of the tremendous growth of ICHC and as not having much of a place in the technology world or real social media, His site being viewed as still based on the closed community. I can see why my lol about Cheezebooks/Faceburgers upset them. For that, I am sorry. I was just being snarky. But it was closer to the truth that I ever dreamed of. I never, ever believed Facebook bought Cheezburgers. Mr. Huh would have had to have been crazy. He has a gold-mine and he knows it. Mr. Huh has ambition as befits any man with a good product and available funding. We are being launched as we speak. He mentions the “fame and recognition” we all seek. I rather doubt the 13-16 year old group do just yet. A lot of his base comprised of parents and grandparents, including retirees, like myself don’t seek that. I think it is what Mr. Huh seeks, which is his right, and those of us who love Cheezeburgers as it is are going to go down in flames if necessary. So I hope this isn’t viewed as a rant. A lot of peeps are asking what has happened. This is just a peep’s opinion. NCcharmer
Huh now says there will be new "profile pictures" and they will be linked for fame and recognition. And comments are to be made through facebook, hotmail, etc. Apparently they don't want to hear it. Bandwidths won't be wasted anymore...Sounds like ICHC's gone hi tech and left us all behind.
As long as you have people sucking up to them telling them it's wonderful, it's what they want to hear. They don't even hear us.

I asked a couple of friends to send me the link. Then I can do what you and I are used to.
If you see the lol itself on your dashboard, you can unfav and fav. But, if you add it to your favs from the FP page, nothing. You have to find it I only found out about it from themessages. I am waiting to see it on my dashboard. But, of course, they told me that wasn't true. I faved it twice and nothing.
That's what I do. Just find a friend and vote for it. funny this is, I can't add it to favorites so I can put it in My FP's. It simply doesn't exist. So I have to find it in over 3000 lols (in one year, my dear). I have no idea when I did that. It was funny though.
I know how you feel and so do a lot of people. I guess it's like the Romans and the rabble. They just have to show us who is in control and the few that speak out will get run over. There is no doubt in my mind anymore that they don't care what we want. They just drop little dribbles every now and then to shut us up. The hell with them. Just use the site for what it is....lot of fun and lots of good friends. I don't care anymore what they do to it.

I Ed'd your message to Winnie. Nothing's changed and nothing is going to change. I don't know if you know it, but I got in all kinds of trouble when backed you, but I would do it again, because I believed everything you said and agreed with it. One of them jumped all over me. No true either. I haven't sent a message to customer service since and don't plan to. If I see that a peep got an FP from the dashboard messages, I go to their stuff. The hell with the front pages. It's confusing anyhow. There's the front page, then there's the lolcat page. What? Are they both Front Pages and, by asking for a just cats front page (without video's etc) did we water down it's importance?

What I call the garbage is good. That's the first three sets and the sets between Lolrus Pool Party and the Rezoluchuns! Less the Chicks and Eggs, of course. It's stuff no one needs and you can end up with a clean board. So many peeps said they wanted a clean board, I told myself, fine, I'm good with garbage. Known enough.
