no, no snow. that would've just made for a completely horrible weekend, huh? well, got septic fixed, the meds are helping to keep me relaxed, my truck will probably be completely fixed for $260.00 & i'm not as desolate as i thought. so yeah, things are better here. i'm glad things are going well w/ you. that sure is a lot of snow though. it's been bitterly cold here in fl. sometimes i wish it would just snow so that i'm not freezing my bootie off for nothing, ya know? ok, gonna turn in for the night. ttys. ((hugsallaround))
I'm sorry you ended up in the E.R. and that your septic tank is on the fritz! Yowza! You haven't gotten the snow have you? The drifts are almost as tall as my daughter (who is 4 feet 2 inches tall)!! And she lost a boot out there. I don't tihnk we'll find it until the snow melts. :( Ah well. :) I hope you're doing better and at least trying to relax just a little. *hugs*
We're all feeling better! My daughter got over her ear infection after getting augmentin (a stronger form of amoxicillin) and I had a round of augmentin too. :) (plus ear drops) for my ear infection. I hope you're doing better than I! :) We're supposed to get more snow in Virginia. Hopefully it won't start until after I go to my pulomary doc. *keeps fingers crossed*
Since the week before thanksgiving, it's been sickville here. :( I had pinkeye in both eyes. Then 2 days after Thanksgiving, we visited my husband's parents, and our daughter always gets sick after visiting them, and she was sick last week. And this morning, I woke up with a sore throat. RAWR! So ... how are you and yours? Doing better than us, I hope. At least I'm christmas present shopping online this year, and so I can't spread my germs around. :)
Heh .. that does sound nice! LOL Husband's face is still swollen - not as badly as before, but it's still noticable. And the poor guy needs to go into work tomorrow! :( I know he's going to be hating life. The percocet is the best thing going for him right now. :D DD is over the strep. And I *knock on wood* didn't catch it! Yay! Tomorrow is going to be either lazy day or Super Wal-Mart day. (There is a Super Wal-Mart that opened about 20-30 minutes from my house! Woohoo!) <<hugs>>
Got MRI on the 23rd of October. Will be getting results on November 9. Hubs is taking the day off so he can come with me. :) Little one is sick. She has strep throat. Hopefully she'll be well by the time she goes back to school next week! I'm hoping not to get it as my doc has told me the next time I come in with strep throat, he's sending me to an ENT specialist so I can have my tonsils removed! Nonoon ... I like my tonsils. XD Hope you're doing well in your neck of the woods. <<hugs>>
The coils in the a.c. needed to be cleaned. The tech thought we needed freon, which we didn't. Because we didn't need the freon, we got a new thermostat instead, and then we signed a year-long service contract. If they're called between now and next october, we get 10% off all parts/services. and the next time they come out to check everything, we don't have to pay for anything. it's nice :) I like the new thermostat as it's digital and much easier to read. tomorrow, i have to go to the national institute of health in bethesda, md to get an mri done. doc found a murmur in my heart and wants to make sure there's nothing majorly wrong. Whew. hubs is driving me. :)
Well, hubs is going to daughter's school this morinng! They are having a "Donuts with Dads" day. I filled out the little form saying that he was going to attend. XD Yes, I'm a sneaky momma like that. Oh well. He needs to do daddy/daughter things with her. While he's gone, I have to call the people who work on air conditioners. I'm lucky it's October and nice and cool right now instead of July and hotter than blazes. The A.C. unit in the basement is flooding for some reason. :( Yeah, not something we really needed.
Daughter is feeling better today. She's going to school at least. :) Hopefully, she won't come back with some new illness. Kids, it seems, are just germ factories! XD Hubs went to work early. Left me "his" car. He said the tires "seemed" low. *rolls eyes* Yeah, thanks honey. I'm going to have to hunt up the tire gauge. Rawr. :) Hope you're having a better Monday than me!
Yeah, she's my only child. :) She loves to watch a channel called Noggin. It's all the pre-school/kindergarten type shows on it. She'll dance all over the place and grin and fall down, and start it all over again. I'm almost done with getting her room in order (I think). I've pulled her bookcase out of her room, and putting her books into another bookcase. Then I have to go through her room, and pick up all her little toys (her Thomas the Tank Engine trains, her hotwheels cars, her little people figures, stuff like that) and then all the bigger stuff that has to go into her 2 toychests. Then I'm going to vaccuum her room (eventually). My cat is now sitting on my forearms, wanting me to pet him ... he's so spoiled! LOL .. just like my daughter.
Oh yeah, I completely understand you! I'm usually the one who puts her down for the night (reading books/singing to her). However, there are some times that she wants Daddy to put her sleep. I'm like: "But ... why!????" LOL Then this weekend, we went yard saling and I got her a barbie doll house (it had no furniture) and I'm buying little bits of furniture at a time. Yesterday I bought a bathroom set Barbie set. As soon as she came home and saw it, all she wanted to do was play with that. Oh, she'd tell me what her barbie was doing (Barbie's going potty! Barbie's taking a bath!) but otherwise, the only time she wanted me was when she was hungry for dinner. :) ((hugs))
She loves school! :) Every day there are 2 pieces of paper of what she does in the morning and in the afternoon. She tells me what the pictures stand for (even though some are self explanatory like the "lunch" picture). It also lets me know how she was feeling in the morning & afternoon. For the first time since school started, she felt sad in the afternoon. I'm relieved that now that she can talk (and she's getting speech help not only in school but privately too) that she can tell me when she's not feeling well and where the pain is. She can tell me that she's scared and why. I love her so much! And I know, that even if she never tells me in return (Autistic children normally don't express all their emotions), that she loves me too.
When my daughter went to special education pre-school for the first time (she was 3), I sat in the lobby for the entire first week, just to see how she was doing! They let me do it. It was nice. I was so nervous. She was (and still is) my "baby" and I wanted to make sure everything was okay. XD Now, she runs to the school bus and is excited about going to school. But then again, she's just as excited getting off the bus in the afternoon and seeing me. :)
I'm going to have to get a view like yours. :) And I can't wait for school to start! LOL. Tomorrow for us in Virginia. Then I get to run the vacuum during the day (daughter hates the sound of it). Plus, I can watch talk shows. And eat bon bons ... and er.... whatever other things a Stay-at-home mommy is supposed to do. XD
yeah ... my in-laws are ... special? I have a daughter with autism, but according to them, it's just that she's lazy, doesn't want to listen and if I didn't "baby" her so much, she'd be able to do more things. *rolls eyes* Yeah ... 'cos at 6, she should be going out to work and meeting new people to network. :D
