Oh JCH4K, leave it to you to bring me my nawt second birthday wish! Thank you so much. :-) I've been busy as a bee these days. I took over as general manager at the Humane Society in Casa Grande. Especially with kitten season, it's been busy busy busy. I'm on salary, but for fun, I wrote down my hours for a few weeks. I'm putting in around 65 each week. Sometimes 60 and sometimes 70. However, good things are happening! Summer is always a tough time for us. Everything slows down as people don't want to go out in the heat. Plus, we have swamp coolers instead of air conditioning, so that makes it a less desirable place to go. But, we have more animals going out than before, and the board, staff, and volunteers seem happy. Nobody was happy with the last GM. So, good stuff, long hours, but I feel like I'm making a difference - at least in the lives of the furry faces in front of me. I wish that I had more time to be on ICHC. I made a couple comments the other day and it was so nice to be back. I just need a little more balance in my life LOL How are YOU doing? You're going to KC? That's GREAT!!! If you ever come West, be sure to let me know. I just HAVE to meet the famous JCH4K!!! Big Schmoo to YOU!
