Hey glad to have you as a friend. Ya, I have a basenji. He is 12 1/2 years old. I have had him since he was 10 weeks old. See I have severe asthma and I was limited to the dogs I could choose. It was between the basenji,the poodle and the portugese water dog. It was the basenji hands down. Although I really wanted a golden or a shephard. Oh well Take Care
