Hiya, internet borked for several days. Now we're both being stymied in our convos by tech problems :) I don't think u got drenched the track the storm was taking. I could have sent u some snow cones, we had 2 inches here the day after we came. We're coming home Sat. Staying a cuple of days longer than we had planned, but I really miss my kittehs. They have a dog, Sky, who is a real sweetheart and she follows me around - mostly into the kitchen cuz she knows I'm the cook and she is always hoping for a handout. Maybe see u tomorrow.

By Mac_Man on May 26, 2012 at 5:58 PM

Well, I managed to miss you this morning. Hope you had fun with your grandkids. They're still not sure where it's headed, but they don't think it's coming this way. In a way I wish it would. We sure could use the rain. I just had a great idea. I'll trade you some of the sunshine down here for some of the precipitation you get up there. That way, we both win. :-)

Yep, shifted into high grandma gear here and sneaking in a little time this am. Tonight son going out with woman friend, oldest gson spending the night with a fren so will just have the other two and maybe a random fren of theirs. Hopefully they will entertain themselves and pick on grandpa and I can sepnd a little time here. I see a tropical storm is moving towards FL but I think opposite of where u live?

Thank you. I was going to add a few more reviews, but felt it would be overkill. R2 pretty much likes everything, except being pushed around by bossy, fussy protocol droids. :-) Sorry for getting back to you so late. My phone line was borked yesterday, hence no interwebz. They finally came to fix it this morning. Hope you're having a good time with the grandkids.

By Sylviag on May 23, 2012 at 10:29 PM

Love it! That is a lot of literLOLy creativity. The glowing review by R2D2 ensures that I will be looking for it in Costco :) I'm taking my laptop and we have inerwebz down there so I will be in touch when not hanging with the gkids. Sweet deemz and wishingu a good day tomorrow.

Hi back. Yeah, I got home late and had some stuff to do before I came on here. Had a good idea for the Book Club and it took me a while to do it. Hope you like it. Hope you have a good time visiting your family. Rats on missing out on naming the Library Cat. I was thinking of something appropriate, given his location, and thought a literary character would be perfect. Oh, well. As long as he's got a name and is happy, that's the best we can hope for. About to head out for the night. Have a good night and catch you later.

Saw ur note on Liberry Cat's name but got it too late. No need to fave just wanted to let u know his name http://cheezburger.com/6253010944

By Sylviag on May 19, 2012 at 7:38 PM

You can be the First Officer of the bank in charge of Beams :) Catch ya later.

By Mac_Man on May 19, 2012 at 7:28 PM

Wow. That's lotsa fish. You'll eat for a week at least. :-) Yeah, a sunshine bank would be a good idea. Just make sure I get credit for it. Today was okay. Just a little tired. Getting ready to head out for the night because tomorrow is another early day. Hope your Caturday was enjoyable. Have a good night and catch you later.

By Sylviag on May 19, 2012 at 6:35 PM

Hai and Happy Caturday. He did call me on the cell this morning to let me know he got a 20 pounder. A Sunshine Bank - now why didn't I think of that! It even sounds cheerful - I would bank there. A whole new approach to weather issues. Hope ur Caturday is going well.

By Mac_Man on May 19, 2012 at 5:58 PM

Sounds like a fun filled day. Hope your hubby brings back some tasty fish. I never went fishing on a boat. I feel safer fishing on dry land. :-) If you do come down, make sure you bring something to store some sunshine with, so you have some when you need it.

By Sylviag on May 19, 2012 at 10:14 AM

Yes I am, now can get on other with other fun LOL stuff. Going out to a retireee luncheon today but hope to catch u later this afternoon or tonight since Bryan is on an epic all day fishing trip with a fren who has a boat way up north on the Puget Sound and I don't expect him home til late. He has always wanted tof ish for some of the Atlantic fish in sourthrn waters - maybe someday we'll visit FL again.

By Mac_Man on May 18, 2012 at 7:34 PM

Oh, yeah. When you find something that works, go with it I always say. :-) Of course I entered it. Glad you had a restful day. Mine was the day from hell. I bet your glad the collection frenzy is over.

By Sylviag on May 17, 2012 at 9:18 PM

Ur working that bloody arm for all its worth. Great Book Club! Hope uare enteingr that one for the Purrlitzer prize. How u be? I took yesterday off for RL R&R from collectie mania :)

By Mac_Man on May 15, 2012 at 9:46 PM

Everything but the white chocolate and the cherries, please. Thanks. :-) I have DSL. I don't know why my connection takes forever sometimes. It's a royal pain in the patoot. Glad I could help out in any way I can. Have a good rest of the night and catch you later.

By Sylviag on May 15, 2012 at 9:37 PM

High 5. All on their way already. It is a time consuming process for sure. I have a very fast lap top and broadband so I can whip through fairly quickly. Have a got a cookie for u. Triple Choclate Chunk - chocolate dough with white and semisweet chocolate chunks and little pieces of dried cherries (optional if u don't like the fruit and I will leave out the pecans I usually put in). Will whip up a batch first thing in the am and overnight it to u :) See ya, gotta go. Still got collcties bidness to do. Hugz for all ur work and u made lot of peeps happy.

By Mac_Man on May 15, 2012 at 9:14 PM

Done, done, and done. Yeah, don't let them sit too long. I hope you have as much fun as sending as I do. :-) What a pain waiting for the page to load. My comment about the squirrels was only half a jest. In lieu of macadamia nuts (since I can't eat them), I wouldn't say no to some extra chocolate chocolate chip cookies with, say, some caramel. :-)

By Sylviag on May 15, 2012 at 8:56 PM

Oh thanks so much for sending. I'm going to start sending them out to peeps who are collecting them as fast as ur sending them. Don't want to take any chance of forgettting about them and then have the witching hour come and have them sitting useless in my profile.

By Mac_Man on May 15, 2012 at 8:20 PM

Thank you. It's good to be back. Tell all who received my extras that they're very welcome. I'm with you. If I never see another one again, it'll be too soon. I don't mind sending them, mind you. It's that the page takes forever to load. It must be that time of night when the serber skwirrelz are low on caffeine. :-)

Passing on thanks from the many peeps I sent ur collecties to, to include cataff, chech1965, cattails, allcatsloved, tooolbee, GCHLoki, myroom and others. Thank u so much for taking the time to send them.

By Sylviag on May 14, 2012 at 8:10 PM

Mega thanks for the collecties! Will be passing them on to their forever homes tonight. In the space of 2 days, had funny retro stuff pop up. Elder auntie is 90 and she wanted me to take her shopping to the Foundation department at Macy's. I'm just staring at her and she says, you know I need a bra. Then I remembered what Foundations were - all those torturous devices women used to wear totuck, pinch and bind :0 Then today I was watching a local what not show and they had a fashion show to the 50s and here comes a woman floucing out dress with a huge stiff petticoat! It brought back memories of being a litle girl and wearing those scratchy things - u sat down and they poofed all around u and gave u a nasty rash. Don't know if u men folk had these fashion traumas :)

Yeah, diamonds ain't got nothing on that, let me tell you. :-) That's the problem living in a little pissant town. Sure, it has it's advantages, but it also has the problems you describe. Politics is politics, no matter where you live.

"Unarmed Man" - LOL

By Sylviag on May 13, 2012 at 10:53 PM

Hai, missed ya tonight. That is pretty indestructible - I'll have to get Chemistry Cat to figure out how to make it :) Just like anywhere else we have the one horse towns around here where all they have left is a tavern, gas station/mini-mart and a church. But they never had much to begin with. What I always find amusing about Poodunkvilles, is the inane politics. Half the town sits on the town council; the mayor usually also runs the tavern and the gas station and one half can't stand the other because of personal reasons so they spend a lot of time fighting over administrative minutiae. I always ROFL when I read abut it in the newspaper. Thanks much for the collecties and they are on their way. For me personally could I have a Mummy Kitty. If ur still into it a lot of peeps are collecting mementos - as many of one kind as they can find. Any of these and however many u care to take the time to send next 2 days, I can pass on. All on the bottom. Scratched Sofas (Allcatsloved); Avocados (Marmie); Ladybugs (Little APC); Dead Birds (dragonsbridge); Unrolled Toilet Paper (buyerbware); Broken Vases (jadzia23); Lawnmowers (Nikkado); Baseballs (rbj); Printers (GHCLoki); Laptops (Pollyme2); Stapler (Chech1965); Cardboard Boxes (Shrieking Violet); Valentine's Day set (AnOldCowhand), Pills (myroom); Straitjacket (Psom). TaTa

Kevlar? Pfft. Nothing short of adamantium will work. Trust me on this. :-) Yeah, that's pretty scary to think there are actually places like that. Wonder how many places out west dried up at the end of the Gold Rush. Glad to hear you had a good night. I was already in bed at that hour. Oh, the fun of having to be up early. :-)

By Sylviag on May 12, 2012 at 11:31 PM

U have changed ur profile and I am honored :)

By Sylviag on May 12, 2012 at 10:44 PM

Hiya. Its kevlar - but I do have my French silk hankie wrapped around the helmet :) One must go forth in style. Glad to hear less crappage invading ur space. Everyone champagned and dined and all hit the pillow and the night is mine - for as long as I can stay awake :) I saw something rather freaky the other day on TV. There is a town in PA, Brownsville, I think with the stereotypical Main Street. Actually a reasonably big enough town to have a 4 story hospital, large bank, various and sundry stores. The flipping place is a literal ghost town. You can walk into the bank and there's debris all over the place, a huge vault is just sitting open. The hospital had windows broken out, more debris. I guess the decline started with the end of the coal era (PA had lots of coal mines) and continued on. No one lives there! It was like a sci fi apocalypse scenario. And who can afford to bulldoze a whole town and what would u do with all the wreakage? Wonder how long it will stay like that, lost in time. Thank u so much for the collecties and passed on to go to their forever homes. If u are still game, can use some more stuff. Popsicle from Nom Nom Nom the Sequal; Purrito from Kittehs as Fud, 2 Fast Food Happy Cats from Happy Cat Meal, Thimble from Itteh Bitteh Kitteh Show; 2 Broccoli from Noms, 2 Cheeze from Taco Cat, Shopped from Very Demotivational and Basket from Bunny Day. Thanks much.
