Ahhh.... apartment dweller. Pity. I guess your only alternative to staying cool is to invest heavily in ice cream supplies. Aifinkso.

And so why..... do you live there? You a life-long Floridian? And say, I thought *everyone* down there had their *own* pool! ;)

Well, at least you have a ton of swimming pools down there. Still, I don't think I could handle being down there in the summer. Our trips are usually in spring and fall and even then my tendency to have heat exhaustion crops up now and then. The Most Interesting Man in the World says, "Stay thirsty, my friend." I think I'll say, "Stay hydrated, my friend" instead.

You anywhere near Cape Coral? I have friends there.

Where is "down here"? I'm in central Kansas and it's been plenty muggy here this summer, more so than usual, though it's not unheard of. My whole family started out in Arkansas, though, so visiting them has let me know from humid! Oh, and we visit Florida a couple of times a year, too.

You threw them a "Glad you're outta here" party of course :) We have made it a habit not to get too friendly with any neighbors becaue if there is a falling out, you're stuck with them. Just like to be on good neighbor talking terms. Sending you a bucket of ice with some chilled whiskey, or bourbon, or vodka or tequila - pick your poison :) Getting ready this week for our road trip. I know I will forget something, but not like we're going to the Himalayas - always a store nearby. TTYL

Hiya, hope you had a good weekend and have a good week ahead. We watch girls play fast pitch all day (our gdau plays) and some of the odd rules they have for tournament play in that age bracket (13-15). For the first 3 innings they have a mercy rule where if a team gets 5 runs, the side is retired. I guess they figure if one team gets ahead by 20 points the other team is not going to have a lot of incentive to play :)

That's some pretty country up north. Last time we came back from Germany when I was 16 we flew into NY and picked up our car which had been shipped a month earler and drove to Ft. Lawton KS via the northern tier to include upstate NY and the Great Lakes which we had never seen before. I bet the winters are maybe not so much fun though :) We don't rough it anymore either and have a 20 foot RV. Did many, many yers of tenting so have paid my dues :) I did see on the news about the low hurricane number this year. Wonder what data they use to extrapolate that. Have a good week.

Doing nothing is a good thing. Time to recharge the batteries and just be lazy cuz you want to be. We went cmaping over Memorial Day weekend with family and friends on a high mountainlake Was really beautful. Still getting rid of the camp fire smell :) Are you getting hit by that rain deluge? Looks like it was hitting the north part hard. And Ihear it is the official start of hurricane season - oh joy. Hoping no really bad ones this year.

Chris10a from the book club: looks like I need to add another book to my 'to read' list. Ever since we started this book club, my list has grown longer and longer : ) and I just can't keep up!
