Wow, you're not having a very good year! Did you get your car back? I wouldn't be able to afford anything terribly expensive either - especially since I'd have to pay for Plasticat too. But it would be nice to be able to get together with a couple cheezpeeps just for lunch or something and discuss options for a bigger meet sometime. Do you get your work schedule a week in advance, or earlier? I know my schedule thru the end of the year. I have Mon-Wed off next week, then Mon & Tues and Thurs-Sun for Thanksgiving weekend, then I'll be having weekends off.

Actually, I am working weekends in Nov. I usually work weekends in alternate months, I had weekends off in Oct, work weekends in Nov, and will have weekends off in Dec. Do you like horses? I have horses, and JAJEH likes to ride, she suggested maybe meeting at a ranch in Poughkeepsie sometime, she said they have horses, cats, and a young zebra and camel. Maybe that would be better as a summertime meet? I forgot to tell you that Plasticat would be with me - he is my son...

Yes, its hard to lose a good friend! In the past couple years, I've lost my dad, my Miniature Schnauzer, and 2 kitties, and I have a 30 year old horse that isn't doing as well as I would like. I see that there is someone near Buffalo, Booklion is in the Ithaca area, there are a couple people in NYC, and I know Vgersmom is in NY too, but I don't know where. My son wants a NY cheezmeet!(he is Plasticat).
