Thanks. I had no idea I'd made any of the front pages - which one was it?

By RedRobin on May 22, 2012 at 2:51 PM

Congratulations on making the front page .

As Barbara Woodhouse once said, "Clever girl!". Were you raised on Monty Python? I thought Europe got TV via sattelite and was more up to date. Anyway, you can see just about anyhting on You Tube. I found my favorite episodes of All in the Family there.

Sorry so slow to reply to your last message. I *think* I remember a Treehouse of Horror with dolphins, but it would have been a long time ago. (If it's a more recent one, I probably wouldn't have seen it. The episodes they show on terrestrial TV here are a few years behind - you have to pay for the channel that shows the up-to-date ones.) And now forgive me, the rest is cut and paste: The other day I spotted a (kind of) contest for short films on the theme of Metamorphosis, with only a couple of days left before the deadline. So needing to come up with something I could do very quickly - and having quite a few dolphin pictures left over from the last video - I did a very short animation called If Dolphins Had Day Jobs. http://youtu.be/aDluGI1yjHg

Thanks for the Dolphin in a Coma short. Dolphin Don??? Did you see the episode of The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" where dolphins took over the earth?

By Molly_B on Jan 14, 2012 at 3:54 AM

Please forgive the "copied and pasted" message. This one was made for a challenge in which I had to make a film in one week with the title: "Dolphin in a Coma," and was screened at Kino London on Thursday night as part of the London Short Film Festival. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO2qFvgnc9I

One I did today while waiting for our dinner to cook: http://youtu.be/L5hThiyyizE Have a great Xmas and New Year.

Thanks for your kind words about the video the other day. Glad you liked it. ;)

Thank you for sending me the link to that. It reminds me of the movie "A Christmas Story" about the boy who wanted a rifle for Christmas, but he was always being told, "You'll put out your eye.".

Cool Santa. Now we know he's no wuss. As Michael Jackson would have said, "Baaad!'.

By Molly_B on Nov 30, 2011 at 5:13 AM

Here's the video I've been working on. (A few weeks ago I accepted another one of those challenges where you have to make a film with whatever title they pulled from a hat, and this time the title the hat produced was: "The Last Santa.") http://youtu.be/f8jA5hpIKAc

Good for you. I hope they are succesful. I wonder if people in Europe have picked up on Thanksgiving - one of the pre Christmas holidays for a holiday "fix". Hope you have a happy day.

Thanks for your message a couple of weeks ago. Sorry I haven't replied before but I'm in the middle of making two different films, one for a screening on the 1st of December (one week from today! and it's nowhere near finished!) and the other for a screening in early January. Hope you've been keeping well.

http://cheezburger.com/View/5068942592 My version of the tale of Echo and narcissus.

By RedRobin on Jul 28, 2011 at 11:46 AM

If Hollywood made the tale of Narcissus and Echo into a movie maybe they would accept.

By Molly_B on Jul 28, 2011 at 4:59 AM

Thanks! Glad you liked it. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston were of course my first choices for the parts of Narcissus and Echo but they both wanted too much money. ;)

By RedRobin on Jul 27, 2011 at 1:36 PM

Brilliant! I hope Brad Pitt sees his own reflection. Isn't she named Jennifer rather than Echo? She went on to make her own signature fragrance which smells like ... narcissus. Try it - you'll like it.

Forgive me for this message being a case of copy and paste, but for reasons that shall become clear in a moment, I am exhausted! So here's the copy and paste bit: Just very briefly popping in to let you know that I've spent the last six weeks or so up to my eyeballs making a new video, which was screened in London last night and won me my second Golden Quickie Award in a row. If you're interested in having a look, I've just added a link to it from my profile. ;)

I wanted to see the Royal Wedding because it was a big event that was more fun than wars, murders, disasters and the like. It wasn't just about the bride - it was the guests, what they wore and the music. It was different from what I expected - no Handel or Prince of Denmark overture.

By Molly_B on Apr 29, 2011 at 12:03 PM

Wedding, what wedding? I don't recall hearing *anything* about a wedding. ;) I missed the beginning, but caught enough of it to see the dress. And for what little it's worth, when I was in town earlier this week, I actually got one or two photos of foreign reporters talking to camera in front of Buckingham Palace. ;)

I'm waiting for the wedding with baited breath. It should start about 2AM here.

I submitted A drawing of Bugs Bunny. He was drawn by the original artist, but I added the eggs. It's in my LOL's.

Jessica Rabbit - of course, perfect for rabbit season! I have some pictures I've taken myself of some very sketchy rabbits around London - shop window displays and the like - but I'm not submitting them because I can't see any crediting of the submissions on the Sketchy Bunny front pages and once you put your photos on a site like this you can kiss your copyright good-bye. ;)
