Please forgive yet another cut and paste. ;) The other day I spotted a (kind of) contest for short films on the theme of Metamorphosis, with only a couple of days left before the deadline. So needing to come up with something I could do very quickly - and having quite a few dolphin pictures left over from the last video - I did a very short animation called If Dolphins Had Day Jobs. http://youtu.be/aDluGI1yjHg
Thanks for the Christmas lol. I haven't been around on the site much this year because I've been focussing on making (short and silly) videos. I haven't been leaving you individual messages about them because I didn't want to annoy you with a stream of urls, but if - and only *if* - you're interested in having a look at any of them, they're all on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/mollybrainz Hope you had a great Christmas.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Over the last few days, it's been accepted for a couple more screenings: one at a short film morning at a cinema in Brighton (a seaside resort town on the south coast of England) and one at a short film evening at an art gallery in London. Not being an early-riser, the one I'm more likely to attend myself will be the evening one. ;)
My favorite Brit Christmas Ghost story besides several renditions of Charles tale, is presented by Mr.Toad in 'Wind in the Willows' puppet series. I laugh my hinney off at that one!!!!(lol, my spell checker doesn't know hinney). Toad standing out freezing in the cold and no one knows because he had snuck out to make a grand surprise and frightening appearance at just the stroke of Midnight. When they finally do get him in he passes out in fright at his own mirror image. Wish I had those on DVD. I taped about 24 hours of them off of PBS with the old VCR and they are wearing out from viewing. My children (now adults) still chuckle over those shows too. We have used their character traits to describe people to each other over the years. Yes, he is musical like Ratty, or I wouldn't cross him or he would come at you with a cudgel like Badger defending one of his friends. And of course the head Weasel, "That's not very nice,...Not very nice at all..." Three cheers for that series!
Yeah, Cinna Crumbs does some excellent lols. How are things in your part of the world? Having a nice run-up to Christmas? BTW, next weekend - I *think* that's the 18th and 19th - I and a couple of the Brits here are organising a "Christmas ghost story weekend." Ghost stories for Christmas are a British tradition - the one that's probably best known around the world is Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - so it should be fun. The announcement lol will include a little background explanation and history of the tradition, and I'm planning to post it on the site on Sunday.
