Hey you two. I was wondering if there was something going on. As I remember it wasn't the first time that happened. It is ok if he unfriends (?) me. Just tell him to come back if he would like to and can. :) cheers, Anselm

PS To see an animated gif with the browser set to disable movement, there's the option of downloading and viewing later in a suitable graphics program, or loading gifs individually in another browser that does not have motion disabled. I use Chrome for that purpose.

My eyes hate anything that moves; "If it moves, it dies" - I have animations disabled in Firefox. btw those guys failed to mention that there are three animation options in Firefox, play, stop, or play once.

Google Chrome, no help there: At this time, there is no option for turning off animated GIFs in Google Chrome. Several people have developed extensions (add-ons) that can sometimes accomplish the task of "pausing" the animated GIFs, but they do not turn off the animated completely.

For Firefox (ditto): In the Firefox address bar, type about:config. Click the I'll be careful, I promise button. In the Filter bar, type image, then find the entry for image.animation_mode. Double-click this option and set the value to none in the pop-up window and click the OK button. Close and restart Firefox for the setting change to take effect.

For Internet Explorer (quoting from frirst link): In the Internet Explorer menu bar, click on Tools and then Options. In the Internet Options window that opens, click on the Advanced tab, then scroll down about half way and find the option for Play animations in webpages. Uncheck the box next to this option and click the OK button. Close and restart the browser for the setting change to take effect.

I'm sorry to bother you with this, but I was wondering if you could do me a favor. I've been trying to send a message to anselembe to apologize for my tablet leaving multiple congrats on his dashboard. My tablet goes insane when I look at gifs, and right now it is going berserk. It won't even let me send him another message at all right now. I may have to unfriend those people who make gifs because I can't view their offerings without my tablet crashing out. This is such a shame since I love to view these videos, but I don't know what else I can do. Thanks for any help!

Sounds like you had a great time. I loved going to the Fairs when I lived in the Bay Area...it was always good fun to stay in character all day and all night!

Have you seen friend furrgy's plea for help? Even a little from everyone would add up. Please, I know a lot has been asked of all our friends lately, but her need is so genuine. I don't think many have seen her site so created an LOL. Pass it along if you wish, and thanks. http://cheezburger.com/8257316096
