Nice to hear you had a fantastic trip in Spain, Pipewood! I thought about you several times. We did get most all our computer problems fixed, what I'm referring to is the clugy way the Cheezburger site works which frustrates Me! I don't think it is set up to help LOL cat users use the site the way I like to use it--tagging my favorite pics & captioning them, and tracking friends. It’s hard to say what I’d like in 1,000 characters—but then I need to learn brevity! Doesn't mean I don't enjoy it, I just can't spend the time it takes because of the way it works. I have made suggestions--haven’t seen any implemented though.
(part 1 of 2) Just wanted you to know I haven't been using this site since I last typed to you! I find it cumbersome & very frustrating trying to use the site to caption photos as well as find the pics you favor--not to mention the limited space to type to "friends". Albeit, looks as if they’ve increased the number of characters they allow, they still don't want you to exchange info outside their site so you could have any REAL friends. In fact, even this post has it’s 2nd part continued, as it was too long. I try to send the 2nd part 1st so you all can read them straight through with part 1 first. . .

(Part 2 of 2) I was recovering from an illness when I found the site, & I enjoyed it immensely, but I haven't the time to hang out on a site that frustrates me so--but I wanted You, as well as others to know that I do think of you and wish you all well, and I'm fine, just too busy to put up with the frustrations this site caused in the way I liked to use it. I stopped asking for/accepting friend requests, as I'm no longer monitoring the site much at all. Just so you know, I appreciated your input & I haven't forgotten you actually helping me a lot, nor any of the other few I typed to. I wish you all fun LOLing, and I'll be checking in when I have time--but it won't be often or with regularity! I didn’t want to frustrate anyone. All my 3 kitties are purrfect and wish they had time to take and upload their pictures!

Pipwood, I see you're back from Spain (wasn't it?) Hope you had a wonderful time! Just thought I'd drop a post to let you know that I haven't spent much time on LOLcats in over a month. 1) I'm having lots of computer problems that are slowly getting fixed, and the site itself is just so frustrating, as between my own computer problems and the clugy way the site works, I just don't have the time to fool with it. Maybe it will improve. Right now I'm just viewing any e-mail, but I had to login against warnings not to as my computer warns their security certificate is assigned to someone else and the site can compromise my own data. Took me nearly 45 minutes just to get to my account, and I don't want to cause additional problems, so bye for now.
Thx on congrats - ai haz a happee. AND god for u on making LOL. Also for on-line Spanish - sounds like it might be good winter thing to do. I am retired, but we also do what we want to do and go where we want to go when we want to so like u, don't want a steady commitment. Did that for over 34 years LOL
BTW, Ed on ur conversations...just keep making lols! Look at the numbers...so many really great lols never even make it to the front of the voting pages. My personal favorites seem to hardly get seen. But every once in while you hit the jackpot.
Aww Pipwood, don't give up - just make the LOLs for your own enjoyment and creativity release. It's kinda like trying to get preggers - u try too hard and it never happens. I took 3 years Spanish in HS and really loved the language - it's so fluid. I would like to do it again and tried some on-line stuff but it just didn't work for me and I just don't want to commit to taking an actual class.
