We can only hope! As they say, all publicity is good publicity. ;) Great seeing you yesterday. BTW, after I'd told you Brandon doesn't eat Greek food, we ended up going to a Greek restaurant for dinner. (I told him I'd told you he never eats Greek food, and he protested that he does, it's just that it's always been at work do's when I haven't been around. Well, I've only known him 28 years or so.)
Oh well, if you're not gong to be around for the melee, you can always get in some pre-emptive strikes before the weekend. Chris10a and Hmph are the ones organising the pillow fight, but I don't know if you are aware the idea was inspired by one of my history lols: http://historiclols.cheezburger.com/2010/07/03/funny-pictures-history-pillow-fight/
Sorry you had a bad evening but "curious orange" was worth it! (For me, if not for you!) I haven't heard or seen a reference to that film in *so* many years; the woman who starred in it would probably be in her 60s, or even her 70s, now! (I just looked her up on imdb, she's 66 and still working as an actress. Looking at her bio, she must have been a child actress too because she has credits going back to 1959. Who would've thunk it?) BTW, I'm amazed the spell-check let "thunk" go by without even a squeak of protest. Anyway, hope today is a better today for you than yesterday was.
Thanks very much. I spent the nice weather on Saturday sweating in a fat suit. Those turned out really well, by the way. There were two of them, one for me plus one for another woman. We also wore - homemade - fake cheeks and double chins, because you cannot buy them pre-made anywhere! Fake ears and noses you can get, but not cheeks and double chins. Anyway, we went as over the top as we could with no actual knowledge of how to make facial prosthetics - it was all by trial and error - and on a zero budget. Brandon took some behind-the-scenes stills which he'll put on a web page, so I'll let you know when that's up.
Yes, I did manage it--last weekend! Ash cloud stayed away, thank goodness. Got a lot done, too, tho' this weekend was a mad game of catch-up, as always. Good luck with all your props and costumes & prosthetics. I take it you're not making an infomercial for the NHS but something sci-fi-related?!! Take care & don't get stressed, Pip
Yeah, I'm okay, though a bit frazzled. We're doing another one of those live streaming webcasts tomorrow and Tuesday, then I'm directing a short film on Saturday (which was supposed to be short and simple, but is becoming increasingly long and complicated), so at the moment I can hardly move for half-made props, make-up (and latex for prosthetics), and bits and pieces of costumes. (I'm making a couple of fat suits for myself and another person, and the padding is everywhere!) How are you? Did you manage to get to Holland last week (or was it the week before)?
The old bastards started turning up in the lolbuilder the other day. If you go to the lolbuilder and click on "historic" you'll see several pages of them. (I'm *guessing* they must be gearing up for a new site devoted to history lols.) The weekend was exhausting, though less so for me than for others as I didn't write a part for myself this time and thus managed to get away early and leave the others to it. The last I heard, they were still editing it early this morning, so I haven't seen the film yet, or any footage from it yet, so I have no idea how it turned out. I only do these things for fun, with no expectation of winning anything, so I just look at it as another experience. ;) Hope you're keeping well. We'll definitely meet up soon-ish. Best, Molly
