If you only have one of something, it isn't possible to give it away. But if you have more than one (which you can see by the "2x" or higher numbers beside the pictures), you can give them to anyone on your friends list. The way it works is this: find a collectible you want to give away, and click on it. You will see 2 icons pop up. Click on the one that looks like a present. That will bring up your friends list. Some will have "needs this" beside their names in blue; that means the person doesn't have that particular item. However, you can give things to anyone, no matter how many they may already have. The ICHC staff changed it so that we CAN give more than one item to the same person each day - very handy, since this program only runs to May 15, and time is fast running out. ... After your friends list pops up, choose someone by clicking on their name, which will be highlighted in blue. Then click the yellow "Send Gift" button. You should get a message that says "Thanks! You have successfully sent this collectible." Repeat these steps for as many items as you want to give away. ... I appreciate that you're willing to share - please let me know if you have any problems. :o)
Ray, I did this as a gesture of friendship and never wanted or expected anything in return. But if you don't want to finish, even though you are very close to having 82 complete sets, of course I won't bother and neither will all the other people who have been a part of this quest. While it is a shame you don't want to participate in something that many people around the site consider fun, it would have been nice if we'd known that before sending so many. As you say, you now have collectibles that could be of use to other people, especially your extra ones. But if you prefer not to share what you don't want or need, that's your right. Good day.
Aww, that's sad. :-( It really does feel like a huge part of the family is missing when a beloved pet dies. ...It's pretty much 3 years to the day that my beloved Gussy died. He was a feral kitten I rescued in 1993, and in '07, he sneaked out at night and never came home. He was 14 and suffering from arthritis, so I suppose it's possible he decided it was time to go off somewhere, like some cats do, and let everything go. To this day I have no idea what happened - if he froze, starved, got hit by a car, or what happened. I never found his body, and nobody in the neighborhood ever mentioned seeing him.
