Both of them were kind enough to repsond. LJB had staionery with pawprints around the edges. AP sent me one that threw me off. It was a hand-addressed envelope from Scotland. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it.

Sorry to ED but when I saw the names of some of my favorite authors I had to read your message. I actually have a letter from Lillian JB. My husband put it in a "safe place" (grrrr). I also have a letter from Anne Perry (in the same "Safe Place").

I remember the cubs. Some evil humans were hitting & poking them with broomsticks. They said that the cubs were dehydrated too. Poor things.

That's sad. Life is so unfair to those who are less fortunate. I wish the best for her. Burbank has coyotes, 'coons and possums. We also have owls which are fun to watch but dangerous to pets. Mountain lions were seen in Burbank last fall and some abandoned cubs were found up on Magnolia.

She's disabled & living on social security. Bank upped the payments and she couldn't afford them befor that. We're trying to see if we can get her into subsidized housing closer to us, but she won't be able to keep her pets at most of them. All of OUR cats are indoor only. One of hers refuses to be kept inside (though he comes in for love). We might have to find another home for him. We live in mountain lion / bobcat /coyote country and too many pets are lost here if they go outside :(

That's too bad about your relative loosing her home. Is it a foreclosure? That happened to one of my neighbors. The house was sold out from under him and the new owners gutted the house and built a new one.

Thanks. Do you have pets? We have lots of wildlife. We seem to have skunks. Other people say they have seen them but I haven't. I just smell funny smells at night.

Hi! Glad to hear from you. I'm still keeping up with Cheezeburger and playing with my two cats. The one in my pic is Jerry. When we got them last summer they were in sad shape, but now they're beautiful and behave like rambunctious kittens. How about you?
