You've really moved around a lot and seen a lot of neighborhoods. we did look at the n. of Santa Clara area 50 years ago but my silly husband didn't want to live in an area where there were so many other Japanese-americans. Maybe it becomes too saturated with one group. So where we did buy turned out to be about 75% hispanic near 101 on the east side. We were there 10 years, then bought in Almaden Valley. Got a lot of flack about countryclubbers etc. but we're on the other side. nice but not super fancy. "upper middle class ghetto" is one thing I've heard.
Yes, it was just the coincidence that you mentioned it and I saw it that was unusual. What area of San Jose did you live? It's so sprawled out, almost as bad as LA.
Saw a car today in parking lot with Kearney Mesa license plate holder. Don't think I've ever actually been there. Have inlaws in Pasadena, Redondo beach, La Canada(evacuated for fire and then slides) I grew up in Santa Cruz but went to SJSU and stayed here. You might have seen that my #1 daughter wants to move to SD,contingent on us going there too. Shes' thinking Carlsbad area. . Nice but I'm not sure that all the amenities suit my needs. about 3 years time frame.
