It seems this is a bad week for us both. I am so deeply sorry to hear about your dad and I thought your tribute lol was so moving. I have no doubt that he would have loved it. The memories will last far past the pain. Try to remember that.
Oh No! Never worry. I never had any such thought. There are a lot of us here who do them and sometimes we do the same ones. Chris10A does them, Sylviag does them and some are posted in JeffCat's library (theirs I think, not sure). It's never stealing when you try to have an original thought. You didn't and won't step on my toes and don't you dare go checking. It's fine. I was just happily enjoying so please keep it up. I'm not loling anymore so maybe they'll help me get back in the mood.
I checked out your "defunichuns" at nccharmer.com. (iIn fact I checked out the whole hilarious site). I do hope that you don't think that I ripped off your stuff. I would never intentionally do that. While trying to find an old post on my blog, I came across this and thought that I could find some great pictures to go with the funny phrases. I wrote this piece the same month I joined Cheezburger. Here's a link to the post :http://rosshines.blogspot.com/2009/11/whats-that-word-again.html . I know the frustrations of posting something, then someone else posting the same thing later and getting a FP out of it. There's someone here that I'm not friends with that draws humor from one of the places that I do and has hit FP with the same stuff (different picture) that I did.I'm sorry if you think that I stepped in "your stuff". I will check your page prior to posting any more. If they're there, I'll skip it and go on.
Thank you http://cheezburger.com/8340328704 Here's a couple of links if you would like to read a little more about Sparky: http://rosshines.blogspot.com/2008/08/meet-sparky.html http://rosshines.blogspot.com/2008/10/meet-sparky-again.html
I know replacing a pet after a death is repulsive to some but I read something that reminded me of when my cat of 20 years, Aja, died. It said that learning to love another animal is not an insult to the pet you loved, it is homage to your deep devotion
katweezel asked me to pass this to you: By katweezel on Oct 6, 2014 at 3:51 PM Hi NC. Perhaps you might like to pass this on to Sir Nottaguy... I went through similar pet pain as you. When I focus on that past, I still feel it. I came to know a man aged 78 a while back who told me he had a kelpie just like mine, same red colour. He told me more about how much he loved that dog, speaking as if she had died yesterday. I asked him when did she pass? He said, it was 44 years ago, last week... My healing was best served when I bought another puppy. It wasn't Scooby, but it quickly filled the painful void. Hope this helps. Regards K
