I have a great, caring, loving sweet husband too and I tell you, a lot of my coworkers send a lot of crap my way because work is too much of a substitute for what they don't have in their personal lives. They get jealous of my marriage and the fact hubby and I are best friends. They try to make work sort of their family or something to substitute for the fact they aren't as close to their own families/spouses as they should be. I don't go out with them after work, at lunch, etc. and they act like my husband won't let me or something because they don't want to face the fact, Hubby and I have something they don't. I would rather spend my money on doing things with him and the kids then constantly eating out/partying with them. They resent that I have something other than work to fulfill me I guess. So really, you aren't missing much being home . . . just petty jealousy and insecure people. That's why I envy you.
I envy you the stay at home mom career. I have a college degree and a job with a college and still, if I had my choice, I'd be at home.
