Thanks for the congrats Hun. C is doing well - she is in icu and getting plenty of attention from nurses who know what they're doing - unlike some of the general wards... No news on when she'll be able to come home yet but it will probably be end of the week, the way she's going. I'll be going up again this afternoon and will pass on your kind wishes etc. Cheers. David
Heck yeah on strawberry jam! While I am a PB&J man I'd prefer to use the jam with some english muffins. It's got to be fun to explore new courses in the area. It's not worth making a move for but if you're going to move anyway then it's a nice bonus. You're going to have a busy week getting ready for the trip. It's hard to believe it's right around the corner. Where are you stopping between Bend and Groveland? I spoke to James on the phone this morning and he was doing pretty well. The pain is much less and the doctors are largely very pleased with the way the surgeries have gone. He does have a long road ahead of him though...poor guy. Yeah, it was a butt sniffing inspired morning. I don't think I dreamed about it but it was right there when I was editing photos when I woke up this morning... I hope I got it out of my system.
Yum - fresh strawberry jam! I'm sure BD will get into that! Glad you had such a great time with your visiting friend! I swear, your yard sounds just like ours - full of rocks! Some of ours are huge, and heavy. We call them BAR's (Big-Ass Rocks) It hasn't calmed down much here, weather-wise. Storms rolling through every day. Had a doozy of one yesterday, knocked the power out for a bit but thankfully it came back on. If I can't have a/c, I'm taking Elf and moving into a hotel! Chuck can come along too, I guess. =)
Something must have happened to the Mother, there was two of them on the ground and one was dead and this one was very weak. I keep watching for the mother but no luck. When I have to go somewhere longer than 30 minutes I take the little fellow with me. I hope he is going to be ok and I can hopefully find him a home.
Very carefully :))..It has to be fed a mixture of high protein cat food mixed with natural apple sauce and boiled eggs every 30-40 minutes all day long and kept at 80-85 degrees all the time. Thank goodness it sleeps at night.. When my Durdy Burd died I swore never to raise another one but I couldn't just let it die.
Yes, AOCH is certainly a tough ole cowhand. He's holding up pretty well. Called this morning to say he's starting to get food although he's not really hungry. Sounded better too although still dealing with the pain. We've worked out a deal where the PAWS folks are going to surprise him with a goggie visit, but that probably won't happen until Monday. I asked about the Native Sons and he's specifically requesting that we do NOT send the url to them. I think we should respect his wishes in that regard. Some of his other groups/friends have got their own thing going so he's being well thought about. I know he's super grateful at even the thought.
Many fanks for alla congrats! I think I finally have time to get over to the donation page for AOCH shortly. Another mother was ancient--can't even remember how far back-- but the non-jumper was made this week after exams were graded and I just had to have a moment of diversion. LOL! Hope you had a great time with your friend.
Good morning, Syl! This is my first time filing an appraisal appeal, and it is done online. Bexar County has a file size maximum and a maximum of ten pics (jpeg format only) to be attached to your appeal, so I can't get too crazy . Where are you headed for your RV trip this year? Any pics of your time spent with your friend? Any other family members joining you on the RV trip?
Hi. I can't get back up there for a couple of weeks because of appointments we have (grr!), so I don't know first-hand. He had tests showing no major digestive issues other than an infection. He's on antibiotics, so we'll see what happens after they've done their work. I felt so bad last night after talking to Mom. She had no idea that the company she'd had for five days was her sister-in-law and nephew. Somebody needs to cure all dementias. Like, yesterday! On another note, Dad gave me his private diary to read. He wrote it from 1972 to 1984. I'm getting all kinds of insight and lots of surprises about that man!
