Hiya girl!! How was your week? Did you have fun camping? We ran into my friend from school late last year. We have visited them a couple of months ago. Tomorrow she and her husband and kid, are coming over here for a visit. We lost contact after we left school. It's great we get together after all these years again!! I hope you're having a good time!! :-D ~lub ya~
Yeah, the BBQ was a pill, but Chuck finally got it going yesterday and the burgers turned out great. Poor Chuck - everything he attempts always seems to take at least 2 trips, and at least a couple of beers. =) You're right to be concerned about MIL. Sounds like it's becoming a serious problem. I hope she takes your words to heart. That seems iffy at best, tho there's not much else you can do. I see your Yosemite & Beyond trip is getting close! I told BD I sure wish I could meet up with y'all. Gonna be a good time!
RE the motorcycle and the bear... I suppose it depends on how common motorcycles and bears are in the same area. I feel bad for both, but especially the bear. Poor thing didn't really understand how dangerous roads can be for critters. ++ Thanks for the nice comments. I'd had the Memorial Day chopper pic since we did the "Remember When..." event. I'd thought of doing one that said I remembered when that was the closing scene every single night on the nightly news, as well as statistics on that day's deaths and injuries. I couldn't have been more than 10 (maybe only 7 or 8), but I remember it clearly. But I'd already made enough for that event, so I hung onto it for Memorial Day. Notice I said all vets who "served with honor"? I figured that would get me out of having to go up against anyone wanting to recall what the *dishonorable* vets did. ++ Lighter note - the BC Grandpa series was a *hoot* to do! Can't remember where I found the photo, but it was too perfect for just one LOL. If you happen to think of anything that would make another good caption, let me know or, if you like, make one yourself. I'm not a Mad Men watcher, but I have to think someone who is might have fun with that pic, too. ++ Friday is Mark and my 16th anniversary. Found his a great, unique gift for a change. He's a big Mustang fan, this is the 50th anniversary, and I saw a "Hawaiian" shirt type thing covered in various years of Mustangs. Cross your fingers he likes it! Wel'll probably go to dinner and a movie at some point on the weekend. Have a nice rest of the weekend yourself. Any plans?
Don't worry about me leaving early. I'm always up really early and any time I day trip to Yosemite for myself I shoot for arriving at dawn for the best light for photos. I know right were you're at. I don't think I want to try to pick you guys up in the dark though. ;^) I wouldn't be opposed to grabbing you guys as early as 7am. That would have me leaving later than my usual. There's a lot of ground to cover even in an overview. Dinner with you guys sounds great. How about I bring fixins for lunch? We can picnic at one of my favorite spots in the park. Becky likes it there too but she'd prefer it if she could go in the river. The chat with MIL doesn't sound like fun for either of you. I guess the good news is she must not be disappointed with the grub there at the facility. Yeah, I think we're pretty much running out the clock at school now. The kids can nearly taste it...and the teachers aren't much better. You might consider heading down to the Mariposa Grove on one of your free days. http://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/mg.htm It's about two hours from Groveland and the trees are breathtaking.
Not long enough. o_O I didn't want to go back. Not much happened. My only real plans were quashed. I was supposed to go see Godzilla with one of my friends, but he bailed on me with no explanation. S'alright, though. It's not like this never happened before. :-/ So, how are you doing?
Thanks Hun - they still seem to like my stuff... The move seems to be running according to plan at this stage. It will happen on 26 June and we shall have lots of help, including my elder daughter, who is just back from a Government-funded business trip to Berlin and London and will be flying up to help unpack. (Not that daddy is proud or anything...)
Silly Syl - wot is still mysteriously here, cough, cough :) - I didn't say Google was _doing_ the censoring. I said ICHC is self-censoring. Google tries to keep search results "relevant." Perhaps Google figures search results for the word "lolcats" (for example) should be family-friendly, so any site with profanity will be dropped way down in the results list. Does that make it any clearer? Google is influencing, not doing it themselves.
hi Syl :-) I am striking out again with home care workers. Seems the program I have $11.50 an hour and the workers in this area charge $20 an hour! Can't exactly come up with the difference out of pocket lol! I have two more things to call but I am waiting for one to call me back for probably do those tomorrow
