Hi! Welcome home!! First off, LOLcat captioning set is great! :D Yup, we've had some whoppers in the storm department. Lots more rain than usual, which isn't too bad for us. The really awful flooding has been in the northern plains. This gets our rivers higher, but since there's almost nothing in them a great deal of the time, even that isn't a problem. Been a little cooler a lot of days, too. ++ It's funny, here you are coming home, Alisa seems to have a bit more time now, and *I'm* leaving! But only through Sunday. Up to the farm. We'll have to catch up when I get back. I'm excited to see your travel photos. :)
Ohai! Being busy at work... My summer hols (3 weeks) will start after next week. The fun part starts a bit early: I've got a raku clay class next Saturday and the Saturday 2 weeks later. One for makin, other for bakin, so to say. Never done any raku things before. Pendants, buttons and so on to be expected. - I do intend to visit my godson's family, though maybe only for a weekend. Depends if they have hols as well or not. It's become a tradition. As I don't have a car, I'll take a bus. A nice sight seeing tour for a few hours. :) - Looks like you've had the most fantastic tour yourself! - And about the cricket terms: I remembered seeing a sketch on tv once and had to google the funniest bits. Couldn't resist making a lol. XD
thankfully jury duty is over for the next 8 years...there's an age limit on regular grand jury but none on Grand Jury so they can all you at any age ....hopefully they won't bother me again...the hours and the confinement were like being back at work ...every time I've served I feel like I'm the one on trial....and most important I missed hangin wiff da Wallaby.
*bz* Yup! http://cheezburger.com/8237708032 Tailor-Made, no less! :D Feels like beeing on a holiday as well, here, wiff hao gud "orange" plays in teh wurldkup! :P Sow mai "cheez-duties" are also a bit beehind. Missed sum bd's too... Ah, life.... Hao wuz tiem off? Any "off"-tiem? ;)
Well, we had planned on trying to sell our house for a while, so we hadn't gotten any new cats since our Misty died last year(it's easier to sell a house without pets). But then my wife got laid off so we put the house hunting on hold. Since we weren't worried about selling any more we went over to the shelter and they had these sweet little love bugs available. They were thrilled we took all three. :)
Ooh, your MIL is a sneaky one, isn't she? I am SO glad they called you and you were able to weigh in on the choice of an older cat. It sounds like this one might even work out. I hope so! We've had a few storms but nothing like they've been getting up north of us. Whew! The eastern half of the country is drowning and the western half is burning up again. I hope your 90's don't last long! Bleh
HEEEYYYYYY!!!!!! Welcome back!!! :-D Glad you had a great time!! And thanks for the food :-D Yep! Plumbing got fixed, and had (you're not going to believe this) NO parties the last couple of weeks :-P I miss the cake that goes with these events :-D If you feel up to it later (settle in first and relax a bit) tell me how your trip was, and what you did?! How was it at the animal selter you helped out? Unpack and unwind sweetheart!!! TTYL :-D Sending you a chardonnay to help relax.
Looks like you had quite the adventure! Glad you're home safe and thanks SO much for reading the sequel!! It really means a lot and I am happy to hear that you liked it! My HS reunion was very good. Not as good as it could have been, though. We went cheap and just joined the annual alumni banquet for all classes of my school. Hundreds there, but only about 24 from my class. We then went to a bar for visiting, but it was too hot, crowded and loud, so we went to another bar that was cooler, bigger and quieter. I wear hearing aids, so visiting was still difficult, as it's hard to zero in on who I'm trying to listen to when there's a lot of noise all around. Still, nice to see the "kids" again. Funny thing -- two of my brothers live up there and they followed me from bar to bar, making it look like I had chaperones. Maybe I needed them, tho -- I never drink and I had two that night. Had to drink a 7-up for quite a while before I felt I could drive!
