Thank you Sylvia, I got your message, and I left a comment for you also in the featured user section. my comment might not be readily available, because all comments have to go through moderation, and it will take some time before you can read it. thank you again for being a great friend!
Every day is a "breaking news" day in NYC...that explosion is a horror for those who lost lives, loved ones and homes...the underground are very old and as I mentioned to Wally, I could hug the ConEd guys that come out in the dead of nite and all temps to keep watch on whatever they're checking up on near our building....even when they use those noisy cement busting drills to get at what needs doing....it's so terrifying because it could happen anywhere in the city....
I had no idea, thanks. =) Not totally sure how I feel about it though. I hate what's happened to this place over the past couple of years. Still like the people and the kitties, but I'm frustrated by management. I don't even read the FPs anymore, I mostly pick someone funny and go through their past dashboard activity.
Gorgeous pics! I especially like the closeups. And can you imagine living in one of those houses on the cliffs? Kewl! Glad you had such a great time! Your new friends from S Dakota sound like real troopers! A dip in THAT freezing cold water? Not this woman, thanky! Susan got a lighter, smaller cast but will have to live with it for probably another month or so. She's been using crutches and has gotten fairly proficient at them. When she points one atcha, you'd better pay attention! lol! We're going on our victory dinner tonight. Haven't figured out where yet, tho. Surf & Turf sounds good to me (and I ain't talkin Red Lobster!) You sure got a bunch done on those terraces!! I can't wait to see what you do with them!
What a great trip you had. You really deserved a break after everything that's gone on in the last 18 months or so. What a treat to be able to focus on you and Bryan for a change...a little early anniversary celebration. You got some really nice shots on the trip too. The sunset shots are awesome. It's nice that you got to spend some quality time with your camera. You'll have lots of fun with it in Yosemite. I EDd your note to Paws...You're in no danger of me trying to drag you up Half Dome. In the first place, they're now having a lottery to award trail permits for the hike and secondly, that hike would kill me today. We'll have fun gabbing and doing an overview of the park. Then you guys can decide where you want to focus your time for the rest of your stay...unless your desires for that day have changed. I chuckled at your reaction to smokey clothes after the weenie roast. That's an aroma I typically relish but I can see how it might be overpowering, too. Having spent a night in the swirling smoke might well have given you your fill of that scent already. I'm glad Gson did such a good job taking care of the kittehs and the homestead. it's nice to not have a batch of home issues to deal with. I'll bet the kittehs are thrilled to have you home...as are we all here at ICHC.

Though I am a Irish ninja I must admit I don't do my Irish heritage very well though I get St Pat's day off this year and that may change things. Kind of given up on that side of the family. I was baptized Lutheran on March 17 a year after I married. Lutheran is okay but couldn't sit through a service, I had to get up and sit in the lobby area. Not sure if it was the quiet or all the people around me that made me anxious. Not sure what I am now. Crap, I am late for going to work. Chat in a bit.
Brier was great. The "bank" area was beside the ladies washroom, women thought it was strange to have a guard posted there. Capacity was 1000 on the arena floor and they were packed in like sardines. Only a couple of people had to be "dealt" with, other than it went smooth. The only Tool song I know is probably Sober because of the video. Sounds like they put on a great show.
I'm SO glad you're getting some time away. I remember when John and I went to San Simeon...no connections, no news, no nothing except walking on the beach and looking at the seals. Good for the inner self! Nothing much happening here...I'm walking like crazy...now that I can move around I'm having a physical fitness thing. John is taking old photos from our early trips together and digitizing them. He's enjoying doing it but I wince when I see how YOUNG we both looked. Hope you and Bryan succeed in bringing the OMM home. Remember, OMM is where the heart is. Lubs and many, many hugs! I'm crashing right now!
