15 Is a great age! They start to become a real person, with their own opinion! Not so happy for parents I suppose, but I like it, when you can have a 'grown up' conversation with them. I wish we could sent some of our rain over to you! We're in for more next week! We live with water all the time. We're much better prepaired for it these day's. They're always looking for new, or better solutions to flooding problems. Hows your garden? Did you grow sunflowers this year too? And did you have a good veggie harvest? How are the cats doing? Did Brian build an extention to the outdoor enclosure? Cats over here are moody.... they want to go into the enclosure so bad, but they hate the rain! :-D Think we're going to eat pancakes with my MIL next Sunday. Depends on what time André has to go to work. It's been busy at his job lately. He starts driving some weeks on Sunday, to get a headstart on traffic. Things are pretty much back to normal over here. Kids are back at school. Peeps are working again.
So, 15-20 years ago and more for Dad. Did you live nearby? Too hot to sleep. :( Swoosh already been in twice tonight, and ate a lot. Wonder if no one else is feeding him anymore...nah. He's a growing young adult. :) Either Bosco's vocabulary will expand or he'll have enough of a confuzzle to make him forget about mischief while he puzzles it out.
Likewise socal _used_ to be a desert and dropped to low 60s nights no matter daytime temps. Yep, now "hot town, summer in the city." Ah, big girl, treated as such. Maybe they were better off not knowing.
After Graycee had been in for about a month, Swoosh decided he wanted in. (Remember my lol on the subject?) Of course he couldn't stay in, Graycee wouldn't stand for it. Point is, silly Swoosh, if you had consented to stay indoors in the first place Graycee would not have been in your way, and you would have ruled the roost. Now you have no one to blame for your estrangement but yourself. (See how I neatly absolve myself.) Yeesh, you kids would have made MADD hopping mad. Good you're still here to tell the tale. How much of this did your parents know?
You and I are the same age, but I think we had different tastes in music. I was seriously into acoustic guitar and leaned towards music I could actually play. I was a timid little thing and the Doors and Stones were a bit heavy for me. ... I'd love to chat more about it sometime if you're amenable. Right now I'm off to bed. Very glad you're back.
