LOL. I remember those. Think I had one when I was a wee tyke. :-) Hell, I remember 8 tracks. Talk about a nightmare. I could never figure out how to work the damn thing. My album collection was never huge to begin with. I don't play them that often. Some of my extended/alternate version ones got scratched up pretty bad. I also remember 78's. You want to talk about betraying age here. :-) I had a black and white TV for what seemed like forever. Just a small portable one I had in my bedroom. Talk about memories. I used to stay up late on the weekends to watch Elvira and The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery and all the old horror/gothic shows I could get with just an ariel antenna. That was back when TV stations went off the air after midnight. Now we got elebinty gajillion channels of mostly junk 24/7. *sighs* I noticed the recaption button the other day. They also had a rudimentary voting system back in place, but I don't see that any more.

I haven't bought a CD in almost a year. Not too many artists I like put out music at a pace where I have to run out and buy them every other week. That's the advantage of being finicky. :-) Same thing with books. I won't buy one of those accursed ereaders. Uh uh. Nosireebob. Not happening. I didn't buy my first CD player until 1997. I had to be dragged into the digital age kicking and screaming. I still have a turntable. Not too many records. About two dozen, give or take. About twice as many 45's. I still have cassettes. I also still have a VCR. Am I betraying my age or what? :-)

ty for being so supportive of me when things are so rough. i can't wait until they tell me when the first paycheck comes so i can plan out how to pay everything. how much do you think it'll cost for movers to move a sofa, a queen sized bed, a dresser and a washer and dryer... about a 20-25 minute drive? i'm planning on moving all the boxes in my car. my ichc seems partially borked because links dont work or if i click on a lol. i get a tiny bit of the bottom of the picture but if i scroll the page it scrolls a little but i can never see the whole picture. what covers it up is a grey block with icons for meme's and other pages. bernie suggested i reboot and reboot my router, but it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to boot up my computer this evening just to get online!! my computer is falling apart because his royal highness patches the spoiled rubbed his face against the top of the laptop way too many times and the hinge on one side is displace and so the wires inside aren't doing so well. just more money patches owes me ;)

Yes, we'll do that appointment on speaker phone. There's no need for an additional examination. The only benefit to actually being there would be to give my brother a chance to see the xrays. Still picking up strays, are ya? I'm glad you could give them poor flowers a forever home. We had a chance of rain today too but it never materialized which was fine. I spent a chunk of time watching instructional videos from Sal Khan this morning. I was hugely impressed with the depth of knowledge he has and the ease in delivering information. Then I got depressed after watching his history segment on WWII to Vietnam...his closing line was that the video brought us up to current times since he was BORN not long after the war ended in 1975...

Rowland was all over it. Douglas Adams was all under it, sadly. Or way over it. All of us who loved him opt for the latter.

The falls are problematic, nothing below is. I could do it alone easily but then I'd get all kinds of aggro, so I'm bringing an uber-experienced an equipped friend. Among other things, he's got a satellite phone that works everywhere on earth, so we're pretty good there...not that we'll need it. Should take an hour, two tops, three if we stop and have a picnic. :)

They did weird things in the HHGTTG movie. Mixed up elements from the different books, made things up...obviously Douglas Adams (author) had no input, having shuffled off this mortal coil some years back. He did write a screenplay ten+ years ago, but since "they" say he wasn't good at that kind of writing they may not have used any of it.
