Well, I'm not a big fan, but hubby keeps me informed. Feel sorry for Aaron Rogers... Guess he is an asset to the team, and he has that ankle injury. About movies, we also saw Unbreakable recently too. Good one. Very sad at times, but not as intense as Am. Sniper.
Oh MJ, while I obviously wanted the win, I had so much sympathy for the Packers and their fans when they showed the teams' faces after the OT TD. They played hard to win and held the Seahawks off until the final quarter and OT. Statistically they should have won. It was a crazy finish for sure. Yeah, I don't think I want to watch American Sniper - too intense. Can't go wrong with a good steak for an anniversary. I looked at natonal weather today and for change nothing really bad out there in terms of blizards, ice storms and the usual winter nasties. Have a great week.
Packers lost, and we're disappointed here! Remember, we are from Wisconsin! Yes, we had a good day. Went to a movie.... American Sniper.... was a bit too much for me. Then we went to Outback Steakhouse to eat. Yummy!! Still cold here, but not like before. I think it got to 38 or something like that. How is it where YOU live? Thanks for the congrats BTW.... :-)
Anniversary congrats! Are you two going to do anyting special? All good here. The big game tomorrow and I so hope my Seahawks can beat the Packers and repeat Super Bowl. How's the weather been your way - still in a deep freeze?
No, had pet sitting directly after Christmas, but none during that time. I charge double on Christmas Eve, and don't work Christmas day, so I think people change their schedules around. That's fine with me! Right now there is nothing, but it's so cold out there!! It's 18 degrees right now, a real heat wave!! We were getting 6 below zero here. The schools even closed one day, due to the wind and cold.
Hi, thanks for the message, glad you found a good place to take your kitty. I'm feeling a little sad right now... One of my clients who I've had from the very beginning, 9 years ago, will be putting her cat to sleep on Tuesday. I am heartbroken, but that is the big DISadvantage to my job. For many years I took care of this woman's cats while she and her hubby went to their cottage. So for a long time I was caring for them about every other weekend, and on long vacations. Now this weekend I will have that kitty for the very last time. She has another, but this one is special. I will miss her terribly.
That is odd that your cat is on Diabetic food. In my experience, a cat that IS diabetic has to go on that food, needs insulin, or both, but most start out as heavy cats. Does she drink a lot of water, and leave a lot of urine in her box? That is the first sign of diabetes. Glad you had her checked out. Pet sitting has been a bit slow for me, but is picking up starting tomorrow. I was super busy at the beginning of the year. I think people decided to go on vacations early, since our winter was so long. Gave me a summer break, but then there is no money coming in!! But it will pick up. Your kitty resort sounds nice. Do they have a website? I'd love to check it out. Have fun on your vacation. Going someplace fun?
Have you ever seen the movie 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days?' The song You're So Vain was a big part of that movie. I think that was a Carly Simon song, right? I think I've seen that MOVIE 10 times! One of my favorites. Glad you liked my LOL.
I guess I am curious where Foxcat lives, considering I am only about 10 minutes from the WI/IL border! I know she lives in Illinois. I was surprised to hear you have a cat that eats like mine!! My Roxie doesn't care for dry food, so she has to have her wet food about every 2-3 hours. If I try to give her more than about a tablespoon, she won't eat it all. But every 2-3 hours, she circles around my legs, and won't give up till I feed her. They sure have us trained, don't they?
Three pictures have been posted from my Canada trip. You will find them in my favorite's list. (link below) 'Sharon' is my friend who I have been writing to for over 22 years. We met through another cat site via CompuServe back then. It just happened that she and LittleAPC lived in the same city!! So I was finally able to meet her too. Small world, huh? http://profile.cheezburger.com/MJKittyMom/favorites
Think I'd better pass on the Dr. Tiny Cats. With my job, I get a lot of people telling me their pet has gone to the bridge, and it really hurts me when that happens. So I'd better not get involved even more. (to save my own health) When someone on my friends list has a death, I am more than happy to reach out to them, and comfort them. But thanks anyway. You are very special to deal with that the way you do.... Hugs!
That sure was nice of you to pay your grandson for pet sitting!! My husband and I go round and round about that. He thinks regarding 'family' they are there to help each other, and should never get paid. To me, it's not necessary, the the gesture of payment is like icing on the cake. It really makes a person feel like they are really appreciated. I don't think it's right for simple jobs, but you have to put a little effort into something.... well, it's just nice!! Sounds like you hit gold with your grandson there. We're getting some 30 degree weather here now. It's like a heat wave!! Enjoy your vacation!!
You wouldn't BELIEVE the snow we have! EVERYBODY is complaining!! It snows, doesn't get warm, then snows again. We just have piles and piles of the stuff! It's supposed to get warmer soon though so we'll get a break. Will get lots of flooding, that's for sure. How's the weather where YOU are?
