Sending this out to some freinds to get it around. Told Tofu about it and hoping ICHC somehow can post it in its entirety. All I could do was get a print screen and give the link http://cheezburger.com/8457837056
Nice memorial for Nimoy/Spock. When I was young, I even got my parents to watch Star Trek. We only had one TV and it was a great concession on their part. Dad kinda enjoyed it, but Mom was just puzzled why people thought this was entertainment. Of course she thought Lawrence Welk was the epitome of entertainment LOL
Thanks for the congrats! An FP always makes for a good day. I think your Mom and I would have gotten along well. I especially love talking to elders who still have a youthful outlook and I hope to be the same as I age.
Thank you so much, Sylvia. Yes, you would have loved ,y mother, and she would have loved you too. She was very much a liberal as you have described yourself, and you would have seen eye to eye on almost all matters. Her philosophy of not doing harm and being a benefit to the world would be another area where you two would have complete agreement.
Oh David, I jsut saw your LOL and I am so very sorry your Mom passed. It happened so quickly. From your comment on the LOL, she lived a long and extraordinarily full life and would have been a pleasure to know. Many hugz
Hmm, that doesn't sound right. Can you phone her doctor about it? It could be the hospital is going in one direction while her regular doc is not aware? Or are they givng up on her?? My MIL is on O2 full time now also and the faciliy she lives in monitors it. My friend, do not beat yourself over the head for things you wished you could have done in the past. I have no doubt there were good reasons why you could not or she did not want to move at the time. I know from the way you speak of her, you have nothing but love in your heart for her and her for you.
Thanks for asking, Sylvia. My brother tells me the hospital my mom is in is taking her off of oxygen tomorrow. She has been using oxygen for years and only recently had pneumonia, so I think they should not do this. She is 91, but only a couple of months ago was sharp enough to write a letter to the editor of the Spokane Bee and had it published. My motheer had been telling me that she wanted to come back to live near me as she justly felt she was not being paid attention to my brother who lives in the same town since he almost never visited her, and only she and I conversed at over email. My brother has been long telling me that my mom is a burden to him. Now, his burden will be over, and mine will begin. With regret for not being able to bring my mom tome where she knew she was loved and aappreciated.
ICHC FP congrats! Pandas will make very cute world dominators, since nobody will suspect them! I remember on the news when a citizen in China climbed a wall in a zoo and tried cuddling with a panda. He found out that pandas are indeed cute, but were NOT cuddly. The dummeh ended up in the hospital.
Thanks for the congrats! Boo gave me a heads up and I have been thinking healing thoughts for your Mom and sending strength to you. One always feels so damn helpless. Hope the treatment they are providing is helping Hugz
