CONGRATZ on your FP; I felt like just like that having spent the day in the kitchen! No news yet on the latest MRI; doc wants to consult with a specific radiologist and that doc is out for the holiday. Hope that your holiday was the best.

By NawtyKitty on Nov 18, 2010 at 7:25 AM

I use IE too. I'ver tried other browsers (on other people's computers), but still like IE best. Some sites won't work with any other browser. So, I just have to put up with it...

By TampaAnna on Nov 18, 2010 at 6:55 AM

Thank you for the congratz. Hope that your 'puter heals soon. ICHC recently had a prob with favouriting from IE browsers. I now have four browsers that I jump between and most of the "oopsies" have stopped. Just a thought.

CONGRATZ on your FP Goggie!

By TampaAnna on Nov 1, 2010 at 12:19 PM

OK, it's not definitive, but neither of my cats like bananas either. They're not spooked; just not interested. Wally has always been picky, so his refusal was not a surprise. But Hathor eats anything! However, when offered a banana, she sniffed and then back away while curling her lip? Apparently, Hathor finds the odor of bananas to be offensive.

By TampaAnna on Oct 28, 2010 at 11:30 AM

Now you have me curious. I have to pick up some bananas and see if Wally and Hathor react. Since Hathor has not yet seen a food that she doesn't like, I'm betting that she'll love bananas. I'll let you know the results of this experiment next week.

Bananaphoobia! LOL! One of my co-workers had a cat that would gag whenever she smelled banana. Guess it's a cat thing. What a thought about a simian with that problem!

By TampaAnna on Oct 28, 2010 at 8:47 AM

Bananaphobia? Pook kitty! Actually, I understand that the fear is not all that rare. It seems that some people object to the smell (like kitty), texture, taste, appearance, etc. Oh gosh, can you just imagine a simian with bananaphobia?

How cute! Happy halloween to you too.

CONGRATZ on your FP Kitteh. Is a tattletale goggie a rat fink?

I do hear you. I'm headed off for a nap, so it'll probably be tomorrow b4 I'm on again ... I had a bit of a bad night last evening. Bai

Oh, I forgot to mention ... the repetitive logins seem to occur at the beginning of my sessions. After I've logged in however many times, then I'm good for the rest of the day.

By TampaAnna on May 6, 2010 at 9:05 AM

I read Catsuberalles' "Primer For Newbies" and discovered that the easiest way to view a lol is to RIGHT-click on it and to open it in a seperate window. When replying to messages, I have 2 pages open - 1 on my message and the other on the peep's message page. Another corner that I cut is using pull-down on Recent Pages to select the exact page to which I wish to return - I don't know what stats ICHC is trying to collect, but passing thru cheeseburger-analytics.com is a definite slowdown. ... I agree, whatever is causing the logins to be lost needs to be fixed. I suspect that a large part of the problem is that the servers do not have sufficient resources to support the volume of activity that they are encountering.

By NawtyKitty on May 6, 2010 at 8:41 AM

Logging in several times a session has become routine. It is so frustrating not to be able to respond to friends too though. It might take a couple of days before I can respond. Hope they DO get it fixed!!!

By NawtyKitty on May 6, 2010 at 8:28 AM

It also takes forever to navigate the site. It takes several minutes to move from viewing an lol, or the message section, etc, to get back to profile (or ANY section of the site). I click on it, then go do something else for a while and come back later. Even with that, sometimes it's locked up.

By TampaAnna on May 6, 2010 at 8:27 AM

How well I know it! I set a record this weekend - SEVEN (7) times I had to log back in. Tech Support says that they're aware of the problem and are hoping to have it fixed soon.

By NawtyKitty on May 6, 2010 at 8:23 AM

It's more of a technical problem. IF I get the "reply" option and TRY to, it tells me I have to add my friends as a friend OR I need to sign in. Incidently, I have that same problem when I try to favor an lol. "Sign In" when I already am. It all started when they updated the web site. Grrrrr. Frustrating.

By TampaAnna on May 6, 2010 at 8:01 AM

Hi NK! You are most welcome. And I understand about sporadic responses; I have a backlog of correspondence as well. I get sidetracked easily these days.

CONGRATZ on your FP Kitteh; he really does resemble a squirrel!

By TampaAnna on Apr 19, 2010 at 11:16 AM

I agree! We bond so tightly with our furbabies that they can't help but drop in from time to time to keep tabs on us.

By TampaAnna on Apr 19, 2010 at 10:32 AM

I know what you mean. Mamma Lady's been gone 6 years and we still hear her out in the hallway late at night!

By TampaAnna on Apr 19, 2010 at 8:21 AM

Whenever someone close to me moves on, I find it helpful to remember the happy moments that we shared together. My father and brother have both gone on and, since they were both pet people, I find it very comforting to know that all of my late furbabies are being kept company until we are reunited. Actually, so many of my little ones loved to ride, so I suspect that my father and brother have a huge petmobile to cruise Heaven's seats. MJKittyMom's furbabies are on board and I'll bet that my Mamma Lady has taken Gidget under her heavenly wing. Mamma Lady never had puppies, but she raised 6 lovely kittens.

By TampaAnna on Apr 18, 2010 at 9:50 AM

Oh, Dear Heart, I had hoped that this day would be longer in arriving. Although Gidget's time with you was short, I hope that you take comfort in knowing that her life with you was a happy and joyful. I know that she's in Heaven - along with all of our loved ones who have gone before. I'm sure that Heaven has lotsa rolls of Charmin and Angel Soft to keep angel kittehs happy. My heart and thoughts are with you. http://cheezburger.com/View.aspx?aid=3427993344

The TENS isn't a solution, but it does provide a temporary respite and a drug-free alternative. By the by, I've fallen in love with little Gidget. No matter how long she stays on this Earth, I know that her days will be filled with delights and that she'll bring much joy into your household. And love does move mountains. ... Dating myself here, but were you a Gidget fan also? From 70-72, I spent a lot of time riding the waves. And this was back when blue lips were "in" - before wetsuits!

By TampaAnna on Apr 13, 2010 at 11:05 AM

OUCH! It sounds like they ran the full gamut on your right arm. How much function did you regain in the shoulder and wrist? I can empathaize on the bra fastening. Arthritis in my thumbs has had me fastening in front and spinning to the back for several years now. Hey, thank God for helpful hubbies. Just a couple of weeks ago mine was having to bathe and dress me! You might want to reconsider a TENS unit. I'm still experimenting with electrode placement and program settings, but I'm having better results than I did yesterday. And if it provides any level of relief, then it's worth the go, right?

By TampaAnna on Apr 13, 2010 at 10:36 AM

A TENS unit is a battery operated nerve stimulator. As the tech explained it to me, the electrodes emit an electrical pulse that is opposite in charge to the nerve's pain signals. The idea is to cancel the pain signals to the brain. Working wonders on my neck today; tomorrow I move back to the sciatic (or, as Nala08 calls it, my bum-bum). Here's a link if you want to know more - the picture looks exactly like my unit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcutaneous_electrical_nerve_stimulation
