Yup wasabi is root. powdered wasabi is mainly western horseradish and mustard powder, is not really wasabi at all. Fresh wasabi is floral and burning with notes of green & smoothness. Is amazing flavor. Luv TheCat * kisses & hugs & off to check dinner*

I luvs spicy things. Which is why there is so much mustard in the dish. Makes it nice and spicy. Usually German food is mild and mellow, but I kicks it up to hot with my spice cupboard. If is not hot enough I will make the wasabi sauce to go with. I lucked out and found a fresh wasabi root at the veggie mart. I was going to use it fur the fresh fish I is getting on Wednesday but I think I can stretch it to both meals Luv TheCat *kitteh kisses & hugs*

Hi nearsgirl Howz U? I has a fine. Dinner is bubbling in the oven, smells great. Is german nite. I is making the saurkraut with apple, onion & sweet red peppers in white wine, with dijon mustard marinaded thick cut smoked pork chops & new potatoes in glaze. Long slow cooking and delicious scent. I think the corriander & mustard seed is what makes the sweet scent. I hope U is being creative today too. Luv TheCat *kitteh kisses & hugs*

hi nears, I went to make the gnocchi fur dinner. Jay made me hungry fur Italian. So I made the tuna sauce and the gnocchi. Then later I cooks the veal & gnocchi and finish dinner. luv TheCat *licking my whiskers*

Hi Lizzie is chamomile is good. So is cold catnip tea, not hot, cold. Lavender blossom tea & cold peppermint tea. Hi lizzie is true. I is trying to get over it but is so comfortable fur me. I likes order in my werld. Unfortunately makes some ppl feel inferior so I trys not to annoy them. [why does the ones who is easily offended protest so loud?] I has gotten past the repetition pretty much and just has to do my stuff when others is distracted so they not complain about feelings. My boiz like my style so is all good. I is getting good at being able to spot the ppl who will pick on me and distracting or avoiding them. OCD can be an asset or a trial, depends on U attitude, I think so. I figure is my time, if I want to wash things till I likes the clean, is my choice.
