I read most of it and clicked all the pictures up. The kitten snuff films are really SICK. Confucius say *They Suck*. They're not real good with people either-remember the Olympics opening ceremony-all those people had to rehearse for hours and hours with little food and no breaks-they had to resort to earing diapers, because bathroom breaks were not even allowed-and that's just totally ridiculous. The only way to get to them is financially because they sure don't have any sensibilities. Which is not entirely true-if you clicked the Chinese language site on the first article in my 1st post (thanx to ryzard for locating it), it appears that people have responded and have added animated shouts along with their comments. So some of them have managed to retain their sensibilities in spite of govt pressure.

The thing is, at elast there are laws here, weak and spotty they might be ... from what I read, China has none. Someone in this province got the maximum of a mere 6 months for beating his dog and dragging her behind his car. Which is at least something (and there are those trying to get the max extended.) And you can't sell wild meat (any bison or other meat comes from farms and MUST be inspected before it's sold, just like with traditional domesticates.) It seems to me the EU is much more advanced in its laws. Canada's an awfully hard case in and of itself, but I send nasty letters to my own government about things, too.

GAH! I followed the link you sent to Peregrin. So this what those bastards do with their new-found wealth? Absolutely disgusting. - - - Holys*** - "crush" videos?! What kind of suck f*** ... for people who can't acheive their dreams?! Jesus Horatio Christ on a duck-adorned crutch, I'm about the biggest failure at everything I ever tried that I know of, but I NEVER thought of "taking it out" on another creature .. WTF is with people?! If this drap isn't the biggest proof that Homo sapiens is nothing more than a killer ape with no-fur-no-tail complex, I don't know what is! GAAAH!!!

PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG TO YOUR FRIENDS (except for the underage kids on your friends list). Here is a link to a petition you can sign to help prevent the skinning of live animals in Asia: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/stop-the-live-skinning-of-animals-in-asia. There is also a clickable link on my profile page.

Some other cultures don't value the *lower* life forms, feeling i guess that man is superior abd everything else is way down on the list of priorities. There are many pictures around showing the condition they keep their animals in-even those that they depend on, except, of course where everyone is starving. I remember seeing one picture of a donkey that was being served peanut butter from one of those *meals ready to eat* that we dropped in Afghanistan. So some of them form attachments.

re: melamine ... I wonder if that wasn't deliberate, myself. An attack on a pet-keeping culture.

Makes them feel better about not doing anything (which we can't really). I mean they knew that the melamine was in the products intended for animal consumption-serves em right when they poisoned some of their own babies.

Ohai- Just to let you know- I did send it to the local paper with an email, both as an attachment and as a jpg. Have not heard back from them. I truly don't know if they will: 1) ignore it; 2) call me for proof of permission; or 3) just print it as sent. They do have a very good track record of supporting the local shelter with a full page adoption ad- lots of pics of animals available. ...I'll let you know if anything happens. ...thanxbai :^)

You did such a fabulous job capturing peoples' hearts! I think it shows balance to be able to have this side of our furry friends considered. the response is SOLELY due to the caring people here...any one person could have done it...and the rest would have been here to support...is an amazing phenomena! for virtual friends--every pun intended lol--to come together and support our fuzzy furry loves. gotta get to bed lol...tomorrow is MAIL day! yeah!!
