We all start with that first lol! The icon, or avatar, on the posts is entirely separate from the profile picture -- you need to go to www.gravatar.com and set up an account with them once, then it should work fine. Although if anyone else's experience counts, expect some minor frustration until you clear your cache, then your new avatar will show up! :-)
