I thought Colesi virus only affected rabbits? Sounds like you've got your hands full. Did the floodwaters recede okay? Down south from here, they've got rivers that have burst their banks and whole towns are inundated...eeeek!

Missed ya! How are all your babies? Didya ever get that mad dog down from the roof?

By jimincairns on Mar 5, 2010 at 5:19 PM

Hello yerself! What's the craic?

By jimincairns on Nov 21, 2009 at 10:29 PM

You be safe, babe; make sure that you get bottled water for a while because the sewage system will be overflowing..ewwww!

By jimincairns on Nov 20, 2009 at 8:02 PM

Whooahh! That's a lotta water! Is everything okay at your place, or are you catching trout on your front lawn? Eeeeek!

By jimincairns on Nov 13, 2009 at 6:27 PM

That's nothing...my dogs are growing gills and fins! It's rained every day this week, and I'm collecting it in buckets for cooking and drinking. No chemical additives and once it's been put through my filter, it tastes like water used to. Yummy for a chance instead of tasting like someone's piddled-in swimming-pool!

Lend us yer wellies..check my two latest pics!

By jimincairns on Nov 7, 2009 at 12:19 AM

I don't own wellies any more; mud is a rare thing in a country that's been in drought for seven years! A Massey-Fergusion? I've got a really cute ride-on mower...there's a pic on 'flickr'! heheheh!

I'd have arrived driving the Mercedes wearing Armani and clutching a buncha flowers...and I DON'T drink, either! Dumped animals are so sad; my Shenzi is a rescue puppy.

Hello yerself! Missed seeing you around for quite a while. Everything okay on your side of the world?

Did it climb up a ladder to patch the tiles? There's a guy around here that takes his cattle-dog to work with him that clambers up ladders and fetches tools for his boss!

Soylent green...the ultimate in recycling...*snork*.

By jimincairns on Oct 20, 2009 at 6:03 PM

Yup...and soylent green was an excellent idea **snork**..

I think that there should be a licence fee for registering a cat or dog....and only registered breeders should have entire animals!

By jimincairns on Oct 20, 2009 at 2:41 AM

ED...Caption for the calf picture is already in my head.....*snork*..

By jimincairns on Oct 19, 2009 at 8:02 PM

Shame that desexing cats seems to be so expensive. If vet's made it more affordable I'm convinced that the problems of unwanted litters of kittens would shrink dramatically! No social life? Tell me about it...I've got more doggy friends than people ones!

Hello Yerself! Good t'see you're back again. Great job on the housing of all those kittehs, too! XO

I thought St. Patrick got rid of all of them...heheheh!

It's the slow metabolism that slows the uptake of the antibiotics...

By jimincairns on Sep 29, 2009 at 6:45 AM

Depends on the size of the tortoise, I guess....and the retractable neck makes it a bugger to get a feeding tube into their mouth...!

By jimincairns on Sep 28, 2009 at 5:44 PM

There's nothing quite as gooey as kitten-snot sticking to everything, is there? Poor little mite getting liquid antibiotics and loads of fluids?

By jimincairns on Sep 27, 2009 at 6:01 PM

Hello yerself...and top o' the mornin' to you! It's a lovely sunny day here....as usual, so I'm off to town to pick out some more baubles for the retirement fund...

By jimincairns on Sep 21, 2009 at 3:59 PM

The only thing I HATE are bloody cane-toads! Nasty venomous buggers are killing off all the native wildlife, and a whole lot of people's pets, too. They don't last long if I see them....especially if I'm doing the grass with the ride-on mower..heheheh!

By jimincairns on Sep 21, 2009 at 3:50 PM

Green tree-frogs seem to like the laundry tub and the dunny, too! At the house I moved from a couple of months ago, I had a python that lived in the big mango tree in the back yard. She was more than twelve feet long, and I'd hear the occasional squeal in the night as she grabbed one of those vile fruit-bats!

By jimincairns on Sep 21, 2009 at 3:23 PM

I have wallabies in my back yard, and the occasional echidna...

By jimincairns on Sep 21, 2009 at 3:08 PM

So, you're between Bantry Bay and Skibbereen? Pretty spot. Always did like County Cork!

By jimincairns on Sep 20, 2009 at 6:17 PM

Did I mention coral trout? Dee-bloody-licious. I take a cast-net down to the river-mouth after rain and catch a bucketful of prawns for dinner..yummo!

By jimincairns on Sep 20, 2009 at 4:51 PM

Maxckeral..not the same ones as you get there...these get up to thirty kilos and more...plenty of sharks....coral trout, red emperor, nannygai..all excellent eating! Shame about the beached critters; it happened here last week with a seven-ton whale.

By jimincairns on Sep 20, 2009 at 3:33 PM

A food problem? I cook it, take a pic if it looks okay, and then eat it..I don't see a problem! heheheh! I love to catch my own dinner, too. I think I might sneak out this afternoon and disappear to Palm Cove jetty and see if I can fill the freezer.

By jimincairns on Sep 20, 2009 at 7:45 AM

Yup, I am a lunatic fisherman! I collect rods and reels, too. I moved house so I'd be nearer to the boat-ramp for the summer...heheheh!
