Got off track from EDing abt latches. Anyhow, as Jane says, new needs. If any of these are available, please send them directly or through me: for MaineFan - a Scumbag Sun. That will take her down to needing 9 reg. colls. (We're still hunting for a Yarrrrris! & a Clown Car for her.) Bandit07, Nikkadoo's cousin, needs an Insanity Wolf, a box of Tissues, a Deviled Egg, & Bachelor Smacks. Thanks for anything you can send for them.
Mornin, james. I hope that you find the latch system that works. The GSD breeders found out very quickly (when we boarded him there in 2000) that Nik could open the regular latches on their chain link kennels. Thankfully, I had trained him that where his "backpack" was, he was to stay. So, when he escaped, the 1st time, they found him on their front porch w. his mom & other GSDs. When he learned that he would be put back in the kennel, he "escaped" and went right to curl up on his backpack on the feed platform in the barn-style kennel. This time, they hid & watched him use that German Shepherd nose to lift the chain link "U" style latch. So, they had to adapt to another type of latch for him. (This was the 1st time he had been kenneled, but this was where he was born & lived for 8 weeks. Also, Hubby's Beagle was in the next kennel.)
Just on for a few min. to see how 3 CFs that I'm now helping are doing. If you have any of the following colls, they will be appreciated as always by me & the CFs who need them. Happy Valentine's Day, CF. I often forget abt it b'cause I explained to hubby abt. 10 yrs ago that I'd rather "go out" on a St. Patrick's Day celebration dinner, music, etc. We have an authentic Irish inn that is abt. 1/2 way btwn here & Elkins, WV in Mingo, WV. They can stay open b'cause of the tourist - esp. the ski - crowd, but also they get some local business from both counties & the ski resorts. Good live music on weekends, but - of course - a very special celebration/buffet/drinks/music on the weekend prior to St. Pat's Day. The guy is a bit younger than hubby & I are, but came from Ireland, brought his father over, & now has his 20+ son working w. him. He began as a builder in the ski resort area also working on his inn - Brazenhead Inn. Unfortunately & sadly, his first one burnt down one night, killing his father. He eventually rebuilt in a much larger log structure w. absolutely no flames in the buildings. Hence, it was one of the 1st non-smoking rest. & lodging in this area. The heat is aided w. outdoor wood furnaces. Hopefully, we can get there this year. The last time we planned it along w. a CF & her hubby from Pendleton Co. It is abt midway btwn us. We'd never met before & they made it an even more special weekend for themselves by reserving a room. Unfortunately, March rains came & the water came up in our county, so we had to cancel our end of the Cheezmeet. Hopefully, we can reschedule or maybe have a Cheezmeet up in their area near Seneca Rocks.
