Just fixed your "unfried" French Fries in the cabin oven - Yummm!!!! I have to head back up there to finish some other cooking & baking. (The refrig & stove both are out of order. We have new replacements, but need to find a day without thunderstorms & showers to move the dryer, then the old refrig., then the old stove out & reverse the order to put the new &* dryer back in. On the back porch/laundry room, the dryer keeps the outside door from opening completely. I thought that I could just take the door off its hinges - but, no, the dryer still protrudes a few inches across that door opening. :-(f
I just posted this to Sylviag, then remembered that I also like your humor very much. So..."Need your brain power. I made a site "Staying in Stitches" to collect any needlework related lolz. I thought that way, I might also find & keep track of other CFs who do needlework of any sort. Anyhow, I want to do the same thing w. food, recipes, & cooking. But, my brain just refuses to come up w. a catchy title. Any ideas? "
No i don't hav yur e-mail, but let NC kno it's ok to pass it along and she will. She should be coming to live soon. LOL (oh she'll give me hell for that) And I'll send it along. Right now my rice is done and I better eat it before one of the cats sticks their head into it. Can't take your eyes off your food around here. ;-D
*passes a playte of fries with vinegar & salt* Here you go, just came out of the oven. No they'r not store-bought, I just cut them myself (got a fantastik recipe - no deep-fryin in oil). What I've noticed when I'v been in the US is all they offer you is malt vinegar. Up here white vinegar is the one used most often, but everywhere you go they will have both. It's interesting how different places will serve fries. And I'm not even going to start with 'poutine'. LOL Now you hav me wanting fish! My Dad luved fishing and we did it year round. I think some of my best memories are our fishing trips. We had an old coleman stove we kept outside just for fryin fish. ahhhh fresh fish, can't beat it.
EDed conv. btwn you & RainbowMaus. Now i'm salivating w. the thoughts of fries w. vinegar. The very 1st time we had them was on a combo trip to Niagra Falls, Toronto -inc. the Ontario Science Centre -, & fishing in rural Ontario. Altho we were in Ontario on many other fishing/camping trips before & after this one, we discovered the fries w. vinegar somewhere in Toronto. They're starting to catch on a little bit in our area - maybe because skiers req. them or skiing residents tasted them elsewhere? However, I have been known to take my own bottle of malt vinegar with me! ;-P
I think that I've told you this previously, but just in case I haven't: I didn't know if you like pics of scenery, wildlife, kids, etc. If you do, you might want to check out one of our d-i-l's blogsites. She has a great sense of humor and is a very good photog. - even doing some freelance photog & writing. (Of course, Do NOT Copy her photos without her permission.) Thanx for the 'it's a car'. NC got my friend up to 80 sets and that's all he had in his collectibles. today I noticed even though he only had 3 of the retired sets I could still send him the other 2 so I've been working on that today. He only needs 1 more! WHOOPIEEE. I'll send you the charts and Dot Matrix Printers now. Thanx again.
Thanks for the query. I probably meant it for CrystalV, but she may have it by now. When I found out later this morn that the limit of one per day had been lifted, I sent her all that I had that she needed at that time. Sooo... if you have another CF who needs it, send it on to them. Crystal has 42 of the 82 sets completed, so she still needs a lot of colls. sent her way.
