Well, now I am sick too. But at least not nearly as sick as everyone else here was. If I was to name this flu, I would call it "The Suddenly Sink To The Floor Flu". That is when most first realize that they are sick. I plan to go into "sleep mode" for a day or two. Hope to be back soon.
The burro is probably having a siesta... or looking for noms that aren't rolling away faster than he can walk. Taking the hint from animals when it comes to natural phenom is a good thing! Sorry to hear everyone is sick! I think the dust scarf is probably helping a lot- it's common sense don't let it looking 'funny' deter you from pragmatic behavior!

I think that sub-space between the tin cans is still a little snarly again today: so much for that hyperspace "string" theory!!! ;-) No, no satellite, yet. But when the road to my "landing site" was put back in, the light optic cable was buried along it with the other hook ups. Now - whenever Nuevo México's "mañana" phone company catches up to the rest of the planet... : Maybe their only burro, who lays their part of the cable, is away at la fiesta??? At least the old fashion phone line is working. I could have been back up there two weeks ago, but I waited for my computer, just in time for a local web jam. But now everyone down here is sick, and I will wait to see if I will be in a week or two. I usually try to be polite, and let everyone else get sick first - or, maybe - very self-centered, so I will know what to expect!? ;-) ___

YAY!!! A communication!!!! $:) I don't think computers can really get the flu... but it CAN get a virus... but if it is a multi-computer issue then it is likely the network. I thought your trekkies were gonna hook you up to a satellite in geo-synchronous orbit directly over your 'shuttle'.
Yea!!! That time my post went through! Maybe everyone else in the desert southwest gives up, and goes to bed. I guess I need to, also. See you tomorrow. These sub-space communications can be so unreliable. ;-) :-)
I think it is the provider. Too many people are inside and trying to use the net because of the bad weather: wind; dust; muddy sleet; and dirty, brown hail. I tried all of the computers I could here, since no one else uses them today (I am the only one here without the flu) and both people and computers are having some of the same problems. Slo-o-o-o-w, and very sick. (Hmmm, do computers catch flu too?) I have no idea why I did not get it. At least, not so far. I am just tired from going back and forth all day, and driving in it. All I have succeed in doing is being sure friends drink water. No one wants to eat, because they vomit. I wear a gauze dust scarf across my nose and mouth out in the storm, like Mexican friends do. Maybe that is why I did not get sick. It looks funny, but still is better than breathing all this filthy dirt.
Do you have large files (pics) or something else that is taking up a lot of space?
My computer is working - but amazingly slo-o-o-owly? I have no idea why this is. Could it be the weird storms we have here, affecting the web? (big wall storms, with dust deivels, and dry lightning) This is our EDW (expletives deleted weather) season.

HEEE!!! I am always the dessicated driver! Good GRIEF! I know someone in high school who got a ticket for going too slow on the highway (she was talking to her passenger). Does S'shon KNOW there are minimum speed limits on highways as well as maximum limits?? Not a lot of people know that, but I guess he knows now! $:) I has a sad for your computer!!! $:( I hope it is up and running on full power soon!!! YES! - Still alive!!! :-) I survived St Pats Day - and as a "desiccated driver" ;-), ... It was S'Shon, who was almost arrested... for driving "UNDER" the speed limit. He does this because, "It is - the journey." (And so - they finally caught him!!!) ... also for “suspicion” of "NOT" driving under the influence!!!! (In Nuevo México , VERY suspicious behavior!!!) And, so, they made him do funny tricks, but he was "too funny", so almost got in jail... ! I wanted to go over to explain why he dresses that way, but Jan would NOT let me! Because I was her driver, and the Border Patrol likes to grab me, even more than S’Shon!!! ___ Exact quoit, from my 'Computer Doctor': ... "Brain and brain. What is brain?" O-NOOOZ!!!1!! One of two main chips is blown up! My computer is a half-wit!!! I have this one, for these moments, but need to return it. :-( My virtual life is in a shambles! I want to come HOME, to Cheezeland !!!!!! *tries clicking heels of Star Trek bootz together* Does NOT work!!!

I have only a few minutes, here, to let all know that I am fine. Friday, my computer "ate" some BAD electricity, and is at the "computer vet's". This new suttlecraft was infested with AES (Alien Electro Skurgez!) E-e-e-e-K!!! I will be back when I get my computer back, or another one for more time than now. (very soon I hope) :-)
