I'm glad you had a decent day today. Let's string together a whole bunch of good days for you. How is Ace settling in? Are there more stories to share? The bbq actually had a break today. I did babybacks yesterday so there were leftovers to be consumed today. Were you able to slow the kids down enough to get some picture this weekend?
That sucks that the concert got cancelled but getting rained on or struck by lightning wouldn't be fun. They had some good performers lined up too. I see that Gary Sinise was hosting. I love the work that he does for the troops. There are all kinds of stars out there who have very little to admire but Sinise knows how to use his talents and celebrity for a great cause. Today was good here. I got to wish my folks a happy anniversary...a mere 62 years...can you imagine? Arlington will certainly get the traffic tomorrow...a very appropriate place to mark the day. I hope you feel better soon.
Well, thankya kindly, good sir! Put it this way...I was at the National Memorial Concert in DC ..all 15 mions of it before server weather had us evacuating. Hope those big rigs they set up did OK in the winds. I call it a success, though very short - much like marital sex. *snork* I've been a hurting puppy most of the day, but ust being involved had me feeling fine. How was you day? Tomorrowl willbe some houselhold dudties for me with a tqik trip to Arlington Cem to say hi to some buddies. then a quick bbq and off to bed. What's your adventerious self up to?
The kids in our family hate to have their picture taken, too...even as adults. Mom had to comment three times that she'd like us to pose for pictures on Mother's Day. My brother and I both changed the subject the first two times but when it came up a third time I caved. That was all it took to get Mike to fall into line. If we'd kept a united front we might have held on but nooooo... Employing BBQ is not playing fair, Nora. But then I suppose you're trained to stack the odds in your favor and not have a fair fight.
one boy still prefers that buzz cut. Trying to get them to stand still isn't as hard as it was back then...its now impossible. I'm hoping I'll have luck this weekend in having them within 5 feet of each other for a pix. Nothing quite like BBQ to tame the 'where's the car keys' and 'bebacklater' beasts that live around here.
I hope that "bad boy" was good and fibrous so they could clearly identify the stuff that was supposed to go and they got it all. Leave it you you to view the eye patch as an opportunity to accessorize. You'll be able to show off your patriotism, your keen fashion sense and your great sense of humor with an eye patch for every mood. On a serious note, I can't tell you how good it is to see you crossing my DB again. I was missing you big time. Butt scritches all around for the pack. Hell, I'll even throw in a few for you if it would help. I'm not sure what good it would do but my heart's in the right place. How is Ace settling in? Do you have new antics to report?
aren't you and becky the sweetest things! That bad boy was the deepest in the skull it could go and plastered onto the jugular but removed OK. I've several months to go before we'll know if the 1/2 face paralysis will recover. Doc saved 'em, but they are very touchy! Most get most of the function back over several months and no since worrying, so i don't. I got some 'bling' eyepatches to wear on my eye (lid won't close fully). If you gotta have it, go for it I say - got my basic gray, black, and flashy multicolor. Now I'm gonna get a patriotic one, a white one, and finally an 'eyeball' one to complete my wardrobe ROFLMAO. scritches from Casey to Becky..speaking of which, Casey is bringing her butt over here. gotta pause for the cause...
