Well it's great to have you back! I know all about grief, I've been there and back many times! So glad you are feeling better. It just takes time. I have to laugh when I see your profile. I realize what the CAT means, but it's funny seeing that in a cat forum, and there you are holding a dog. Too funny! Hope you have a great week!! -Mary Jo

That's a nice story. I have one for you too. When my Mom was alive, she just adored my Siamese, Ko-Ko. I did too, and she would always say, "I hope I'm not around when you lose that cat. You're going to be JUST SICK!" (Her exact words) Well, she got her wish, I lost her in July of 2006. Three weeks after her death, my Ko-Ko was diagnosed with Cancer. I had him for another 10 months. After Ko-Ko, we decided to get our Bengal, Roxie. I found it interesting that she had been born in February, Mom's birth month. But after a number of months, we decided that she needed a playmate, that's when we got my Romeo, my Siamese. When we went to pick him up at the Breeders, I asked when he was born. She said February 8th. That was my Mom's birth date!! It was as if she sent him down from heaven. What's even stranger, is the fact that he shares her purrrsonality! He's a goofy little guy, but has a big heart. He loves everybody and everything, and wouldn't hurt a flea. That was Mom. I like to tell people that Romeo is a Romeo by night, but a Bozo during the day!

Hi Chris, thank you for the apology. I was wondering what happened. No problem. I am so sorry for what you are going through. My Mother died in 2006 from a stroke, my Dad died of Cancer in 2000. It's a different world when they are no longer a part of your life anymore. But like i said, it will get better. Just takes time! I do understand about friends too. Mine are either living far away, or are just too busy with their lives to worry about what 'I' am up to! I do hear from one in town once in a while. but now she has a new boyfriend, so she is concentrating in him! This is a good place to come to find friends. And we all have cats or pets in common, so that makes for good conversation! I guess your dog was your Mom's. I saw the write-up, and for your Dad. Very nice. Feel free to write anytime. I get on here a lot. Purrs, Mary Jo

Hi Chris, thanks for accepting my friendship. I hear you are a great person to be friends with! Just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your Mother. I know how hard that is, I've lost both parents now, my Mother only less than 7 years ago. It does get better, just takes time. Do you still have your Dad? How did your Mom die? So you like Bengals too, huh? Do you have any, or what do you have for pets? I was thinking at one point you had a dog in your profile. A Maltese maybe? Are you married, kids? I am happily married for 21 years, our kids are our cats. I have my Bengal, Roxie, and my Siamese, Romeo. I tell people he is Romeo by night, and Bozo by day! What do YOU do?
