UGH that bites! Even when I worked retail I got 8 hours for holiday... ok, they weren't ON the holiday... or even next to the holiday...but sometime that week we would get 8 hours off.

Hospitals don't give holiday pay to clinical staff. There are good aspects to this job but those kind of perks aren't included. :(

Ah, well, this was a company paid holiday (if the 4th falls on a weekend, the Monday following is a paid holiday) but Temps don't get paid holidays.

Yeah, but being a 'temp' means I have to make up the time during the rest of the week, but it was a nice long weekend... so long that I nearly forgot to go back.

It was all right. I worked 12 hours last Monday, 11 on Tuesday, 10 on Wednesday and 7 on Thursday, so I got my 40 in before Friday, so I had a 4 day weekend.
