Many thanks for the healing energy. Yes, I teach or try to, and it is a 24/7 kind of job. It just kills me when people talk about the "three month vacation" and other perceived benefits that are myths. I've been busy with responding to messages and faving the LOLs I've seen on peeps' DBs, but I hadn't yet noticed that Patblo was back. That's wonderful! I've missed her and worried about her. Thanks for telling me.

I'm baaack! It has been a long week. The surgery went well (the surgeon is so good that the staff of the hospital get everyone they know who needs replacement surgery to go to him and treat him with reverence beyond mere respect). Hubcat came home late Thursday evening. I have to run all the errands, of course, and he needs help to get into bed--can't yet lift the surgical leg high enough to get in. He will have home care visits from a nurse and a physical therapist for a month, and they both have already been here once each. I have to work my schedule around theirs. I have had little time for anything else, and I must get back to my preparations for next semester, so I'm not going to have much time for ICHC. Thanks for checking on us, and I hope you've been having a great weekend!

That is a whole 'nother story! Butte, with it's historical mining history, is nuts about stuff that explodes!! So fireworks started here about 10 days ago. I'm still not sure why but Butte also celebrates the Fourth of July on the THIRD!! Yesterday was a nightmare for the kittehs. First off, it was in the high 80s (hot for here) so I had to keep windows and doors open for ventilation. Second, the fireworks started going off at 3PM (Yes...daylight!!) (See above) Third: The main fireworks show was at 10:30PM for which the 20,000 people setting off their own respectfully paused. After that show, the explosive-happy multitude started up again until TWO O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!! (Did I mention I had to keep everything wide-open?) Needless to say, the kittehs and I didn't get much sleep! :( AND!! Because it is now the FOURTH, everyone will be blowing things up again all night tonight! Yippee!! It's a good gosh-darned thing I am SO patriotic, amirite? :D

I brought the ones I could lift in. The ones on the deck are 8-10 ft high

They are covered in salt and salt water so I have to "flush" them and pour water over them. On my deck, 20' up, you can't hose them off.

Since moving here in February, I am down to 10 plants and -0- garden, only the inside of the condo. The property manager does the outside and it is common area.
