Her husband continues her work. All the cats live with him, & are doing just fine. Thanks for asking. They were an amazing couple. He is heroic, all that he had to take on, for her, & during her illness. Love that guy. Annie

I have no idea what the injection is called. So sorry about your friend, hope all the kitties found loving homes.

By ani.s4 on Sep 6, 2014 at 9:50 AM

If that injection is Humira, my best friend died from using it http://cheezburger.com/7956676608 from an infection. I can't tell you how scary that drug is. Something else is coming, from a DNA study, something that turns off the trigger...

By Patblo on Sep 6, 2014 at 9:34 AM

Lol ! I went for trials to make that possible.I think it was for three months, they pump you full of new stuff. There is an injection but it costs a fortune.

Maybe Medical Science will emerge from the dark ages, soon, and a simple answer to RA will be discovered. It seems like there is an answer like that, just nearly within reach. It's something I have a 'feeling about'. Here's hoping I am psychic. Annie

Warmer weather does nothing unfortunately.

By ani.s4 on Sep 6, 2014 at 8:37 AM

When the weather gets warmer, your RA eases up, right? Hope so. Love. ani.

By ani.s4 on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:49 AM

Hey, maybe so, maybe a possible reprieve. Let's go with that.

By Patblo on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:34 AM

Nope, but I did have some strange happenings when I was younger,so maybe i did have it then.Who knows ?

By ani.s4 on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:29 AM

There are so many auto-immune disorders, and they are all so illusive. Like chasing ghosts. Very ugly, mean ones

By ani.s4 on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:27 AM

I take it you don't have the juvenile version.

By Patblo on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:27 AM

No sores and no side affects yet. This thing is progressive,so I just make the best of a bad situation.

By ani.s4 on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:25 AM

I know that Methotrexate is problematic. Any sores from it? Hope it's doing some good. I will do a little interweb research, just for more information. I'm glad we all have ICHC for the rough times. ani.

There is an RA that youngsters(Juvenile RA) get and that can disappear but as an adult you have a better chance of getting pregnant every month.

By Patblo on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:18 AM

I have to take it once a week .It's called Methotrexate, used to take six it's now been upped to eight, not a good drug.I have to take it for the rest of my life.I was in remission but it's come back with a bang ! Maybe it will go into remission again.Look it up on the internet.I try not to take the anti inflammatory too much, those are killers !

By ani.s4 on Aug 24, 2014 at 11:03 AM

Do you medicate on rough days, & not on good days? Does anyone ever outgrow RA?

By Patblo on Aug 24, 2014 at 10:57 AM

There are days when it's pure hell. The doctor has upped the medication, lets see what happens.Hate taking any pills and it's not a good idea for the ones i'm on.
