Hey again, I just took a good look at your kitty profile pic and it looks just like my KitKat did. He belonged to the lady we bought our house from in March 1996. She took him with her and moved to Roseburg Oregon. In August 1996 this scraggly cat found it's way into our garage. I shooed it out and the next day it was at our back door. It looked so pathetic that I fed it. It was so hungry it scarfed the food down so fast, juice from the food was forced up his into his tear ducts and he had meaty tears coming out. I picked him up and he was nothing but fur and bones, hardly any muscle on him at all. Decided to keep him. Then a neighbor told us that he was the old owner's cat. Yep, that's right, the little bugger came back all the way from Oregon. I have no idea how he did it. Crossing the Columbia must've been amazing. He was about 2.5 when we took him in and had him for about another 8 years when he died of liver failure due to diabetes. Your kitty made me think of him. Thanks
Hi, it's hard to wait for her to get big enough to come home. You know we lost Kiddo on March 2nd. Within a couple of days my hubby Jim was looking at dogs on the web. One night I asked him had he looked on the Boeing want ad site. We've had two great dogs we've found through that (one was Ellie who died of cancer at less than 3 and Newman who died last July of diabetes at 10.5). So he started looking and found an ad for these weschon puppies. They hadn't even been born yet. We ended up getting first pick. Daddy is a full Bichon and Momma is half Bichon and half Westie. So Penny is 3/4 Bichon and 1/4 Westie and she's going to have some curly hair. We get to see her again in a couple more weeks. I plan to share her growing up here at ICHC. Hope you have a great weekend. Take care.
sooo sad to see that Kiddo has taken the bridge path. you know he's having fun over there, but we miss them so. Please to feel our arms giving you hugs and keep remembering the silly and loving baby that you gave a wonderful home to. The memories last forever as long as we keep them alive and they let our furbabies stay in our hearts!!! ***hugs*** kris
