With the passing of our dear friend Chris, aka _C_A_T_ there's some stuff I want my friends to know. Please reach out if you are ill or need a friend, or a listener. Also this http://cheezburger.com/8123252224
Hi there VioletD. I know, been a while. Been busy setting up an ebay store (much cheaper fees that way) and we now have our new puppy home. She's been with us a week today. I started a site just for her. She's so much fun. Been over 10 years since we had a little puppy in the house. So you know we've been busy. You take care, Dear.
YAY FUR JAMMIES!!! Sounds like an OSSUM way to spend your Bday!! And it's YOUR day so if you want to be in jammies and eat cookies instead of cake, then that you shall have!! I'll be out in the yard waiting for the frisbee cookies to arrive!!! Love backatcha!!
Hi Violet! Thanks so much for your birtday wishes. And the congrats for the fp's. Stayed in jammies all day. Hubby brought home Red Robin Swiss mushroom burger and instead of lobbing cake, maybe I can frisbee you chocolate chip cookies. If I catch a good breeze, maybe it'll make it to you! :D I wanted the cookies instead of cake. Still planning a big birthday celebration with others in the family who had birtdays this month: my fatherinlaw (81), mystepson (30) me (5) my granddaughter (23). We are still trying to get arrangements for everyone to meet. Gotta go for now. Thanks again. love ya! Barb
OHAI Darlin'!! Great to hear from you!! My hard drive crapped out so I was away while I waited for them to install a new one. Awww...Hubby sounds like such a Sweetie!! I might be a little jealous about the Disneyland thing too..I haven't been since 1978! Such a magical place! OSSUM to hear from you!! My busy season is slowly winding down so I should be around a lot more in about a month! I hope you have a great day too!! Let me know how your sweet little Daughter is doing! I keep thinking about her! Take care and we'll chat soon!!
Hi VioletD! been a while. Hope you are doing fine. I pop in here every few days now. Up late cuz hubby is at a conference down at Disneyland this week. He's sweet though. Calls me in the morning when he gets up, at least once between the conferences and just before he goes to bed. He does that to make sure I haven't fallen and can't get up. . . which I have done before! He doesn't want to come home to find me still on the floor after a couple of days. But I am jealous . . .Wed. night, part of Disneyland closes and reopens just for the attendees of the conference. I haven't been to Disneyland since 1989. Only got one more night without him. In the 16+ years we've been married, we've only been apart for less than 20 days. Guess I'm just rambling. I've got the critters to talk to though. Hope you have a great day. Take care, Barb
Oh my goodness I am SO sorry to hear about the loss of your precious baby!! That must have been an agonizing decision even tho it was the right one. Oh and you gave him the best last day ever! That's OSSUM Sweets! So heartwarming to hear that! Must find that lol and here's a(((BIG HUG))) for you! :)
Hey there! been a bit since we were on at the same time. How are you doing? Been a bit sad around here this week. We had to put our 10.5 year old pug/schnauzer mix down because of his diabetes on Tuesday. We gave him a last Best Day Ever (I made a caption about that). A lot of the cheez peeps gave a lot of support. I love the thought that he'll never be forgotten now. so now we're taking care of all the other guys (3 dogs, 3 cats and a snake). Jim had vacation last week and now has to go back to work. You take care sweetie and hope to catch you back here at the same time again soon. Barb
Hi Violet, my daughter's doing real good. Everthing is doing what it's supposed to be doing. She had a special suprise at the end of last month. Her daughter visited her and her half-brother. She had both her kids very early and adopted both of them out (she made me a grandma at 34!). We lived in Hawaii at the time. Her daughter was adopted by a military family which moved to puget sound and was raised over in Bremerton (I never got to see her though). Her son was raised in Hawaii. Well back before she got sick, he told his parents that he wanted to move in with his mother, which thrilled the dickens out of Ellie. He's been there since March. I haven't seen him since the day he was born ( I saw both of them born). Now the daughter I saw for the first time since she was 3 months old in the summer of 2008 when Ellie and her fiance' moved from Hawaii and stopped here for a visit before heading to Missouri. Meet her for the first time over at the space needle. Me and her call each other and get together a couple of times a year. So Ellie had a about a week with all of them together. I think that did her a world of good. Did I tell you I've been doing my family tree? Found out something really neat a couple of weeks ago. Queen Elizabeth II is my 24th cousin twice removed. Our common blood-line ancestor is King John 'Lackland' Platagenant. His mistress was my 24th grandmother and Her Majesty's grandmother was his wife proper. That just blew me away! So I got really gutsy and wrote the Queen. I congratulated her on the jubliee and then told her about my research. It's been two weeks since I wrote and will be thrilled if I get any kind of a reply. What else is really interesting, I always thought the Queen resembled my Mom. Now I know why! We are going to have to exhange email addresses so we have more space to chat. If it's okay with you, we'll exhange them later and delete the messages with them in it. Gotta go out shopping in a bit so will get back to you later. Have a great weekend. Barb
Sorry I missed you last night, Punkin'!! I fell asleep before midnight with several message windows open, just waiting for my reply. Bein' out in the yard all day makes for one sleepy Vi! I'm very well...how 'bout you and your sweet girlie?
