EWWW!! I may never eat a chili dog again! Unless I make it myself, of course... I used to work with a line cook who'd spit on the grill to test how hot it was and management saw nothing wrong with that. O_o All righty, then. *shudders* Work memories are pretty amazing, aren't they? We should be sending in our anecdotes to Reader's Digest!
Oh, yeah, I too have dialed 911 and reported tip-nabbers. Theft is theft, I don't care if it's two or two thousand dollars - it's stealing money from the pocket of someone who by gosh EARNED it. *chuckle* Our convo reminds me why I'm happy not to be doing that for a living anymore...although I wish I could. I always made good tips; alas, the bum knee would not appreciate the long shift and heavy trays no matter how good my shoes are. :o)
Hey there...could you send me 4 collectables? they are Flying Spagetti, Stocking Stuffers, Bah Humbug Kitteh & Limited Edition Ibrick? putting together some sets..... thanks mary ann
WatogaSP sent me this for you By WatogaSP on Jan 23, 2012 at 3:01 AM Would you ask BeerFairy to send me a YarisBomb's Profile Pic for SWiNW? (I FR her this morn. In reading her profile, it seems we have a lot of interests in common.) If she doesn't accept my friend req., she could send it directly to SWinNW, or though you to me. Thanks!
Hello beerfairy...chriswiththebat suggested I contact you about your extras. Would you please let me have your rage trashman and send the lolman to chriswiththecat for me?
NCCharmer should be in touch shortly - she's arranging trades and relaying of spare collectibles to help as many people complete their sets as possible.
Hey, I was a waitress for quite a few years throughout my teens and early twenties so I know how hard the work is and how lowly it's compensated. I once had a confrontation with the manager in the state office in which I used to work: she told the whole office she would not tip her server if the restaurant at which she was dining wouldn't let her order a half-portion or a meal from the kids' menu. I later asked her privately why she was punishing a server because she didn't agree with the *establishment's* policy, and if she was aware that servers are not paid minimum wage. She didn't know that. I tend to be not-nice to fellow patrons who don't treat their servers like respectable human beings. I'm kind of evil that way. Ever notice that it's the poorest-seeming patrons who tend to tip well? WOOT for the 99%! *lol*
I don't have a large friends list either & of that only about 1/3 collect. So I've gone thru my friends too. But there are a few folks sorting and sending with the help of us who have extras still available but no where to send them so that they will be of use to someone. NCcharmer is the best place to check first......mary ann
Thankies mushly! Just the other day I was telling someone there was a time I could drink any guy I knew under the table...and about how much I don't miss those "good old days." I was much beloved by bartenders back then; I've always believed in tipping as big as I can. Same with servers, even now - I know it ain't a hobby. ;o)
Thank you!!! hope you are having a good sundog! stay warm - iceeeyyyyy here today. hoping some some comes out to melt it a little! **hugs** kris
NCcharmer is sort of a "clearing house" for collectables...check with her. I've sent her a lot of extra collectables. Mary Ann
Hiya, honey! *ED*ed that no one's asking for your stuff...so I'll ask for the Beer Pong (somewhat appropriate, eh?!) to send along to my friend scarletarrow. Pretty please with sugars on top? :o)
Hi - just spotted your LOL about the collectibles. Our common friend NCCharmer is helping out various folks by collecting spares and asking others to relay them to the needy - drop her a line if you haven't done so !
the large undertaking of so many, trying to help complete so many other's collectables is a beehive of activity of asking & sending.... it gets a bit confusing....but all the efforts are paying off. mary ann
Oh...sorry. I clear out my messages about two days after I send them, If I get a response, more than few days later... I've probably forgotten what it was I wanted. Oh wait, now I remember.....At the time I was going thru my friends collectables to see what they still needed & you needed only a couple. So I told you about the 20 coins thing ( you'd be suprised how many don't know or remember about those coins ). Then I checked back to your collectables a day or so later and saw that you had completed your sets. Mary Ann
