Reading is good for us high strung types...it's nice to just totally lose yourself in something for a while. I have an hour lunch, I leave the office and read for the whole hour. Nice break from a stressful job!
I've been a big reader all of my life, I stopped in the 90's when I became a single mom, then took it up again a few years ago. I read The Shining when it first came out, I was a senior, I think it was in 77-78. I read a lot of Dean Koontz, John Saul and King back then, I live in a funky old neighborhood with wall to wall used book stores, It's been so long that I've forgotten them by now, it would be like reading them brand new. I think some of these stores will give you credits for your old books, I've got a few big trash bags I could fill! I can't part with my H.R. Ward or Kim Harrison series though! I'll even get the new hardbacks because I have to keep up!
I had opened this profile about 5 months back to make a lol about lol-spamming (my first one here) I wanted to make a point without getting involved in a lot of drama about it. Then I've had some trouble with people that I've unfriended that kept dragging on, so I packed it all up and moved over here!
He's still here, at the moment. We take him back to the vet for a re-evaluation, tomorrow. And, I'm scared. Richard WAS talking about trying to keep him going until after the first. Now he says, if it IS cancer, he's not going to prolong things. I don't want Tiger to suffer at ALL, but I would like to wait a couple more days. And to top everything off...I just found a lump on Mike's jaw. And he's not even two! I think I hassa depressed...
