A cat I had a long time ago used to catch wild baby bunnies and eat them from the head down, leaving just the back legs in the paddock. Legs too crunchy I guess. Nom nom

Same Same, Life keeps happening. Dad is in a nursing home now and he is enjoying it. Has more to do and doesn't have to worry about having an accident. Work keeps getting more demanding, sometimes good sometimes not so good... I have baby bunnehs now. Finngall wants to eat them but it's not going to happen.

Wet would be nice. Last tie we had a big rain I actually had lawn for a week. At the moment everythings on the brown crunchy side, even my Kangaroo Paws have wilted and they like dry sandy conditions. BTW I was touching wood when I said earthquake....

The good old days of disposable income, pre mortgage etc....

By bindieye on Sep 22, 2009 at 7:11 AM

Had to look up Vannamei prawns - now I know they are largely vegetarian farmed prawns. Not sure if I've had the (dis)pleasure of eating one. I don't mind budget cuts of meat. We buy from an organic butcher who isn't overly expensive. Currently enjoying wonderful fresh vegetables from farmers markets here in Brisbane, and cheap strawberries by the ton. I do love lobster, oyais, but can also rarely (well, ever) afford it. What were the old days when you could afford? Before you bought the car??

By Catslave1 on Sep 22, 2009 at 3:30 AM

REFER: Old Days.... Moi, Vegetarian...Not Bloody Likely ! No, just the old days when I could actually afford Fillet Mognon and Lobster. Its more like Vanamai prawns and budget sirlion these days.

By bindieye on Sep 20, 2009 at 5:33 AM

what old days? Are you vegetarian now?

By Catslave1 on Sep 20, 2009 at 2:27 AM

Surf and Turf is usually a prime beef medallion stuffed wiff lobster or king prawns or A fillet Mignon topped with lobster and/or king prawns. Damn I miss the old days....Salivating as the memories roll by.

By bindieye on Sep 19, 2009 at 4:21 AM

By Catslave1 on Sep 19, 2009 at 4:12 AM

FISH ? I supposed it could have been a surf and turf....But you could same the same for a Horse Patty with a side of seaweed.

Yeah, and our northern neighbours don't know our meaning of ROOT. As we know, "I'm rooting for you" takes on an entirely different meaning here in OZ ;) *high school type snickers* Back on the burgers, does anywhere else in the world serve 'beet' on burgers? I wonder? My husband ordered a burger-with-the-lot in the south island of NZ and got: meat, FISH, bacon, cheese, onions, egg, pineapple, tomato, lettuce and sauce (dont remember if it had beetroot). We still don't know if they were just taking the mickey....!@

By Catslave1 on Sep 19, 2009 at 3:15 AM

Do they call it beetroot anywhere other than Oz and teh UK ? I tink our North Western neighbours juss call dem beets.

By bindieye on Sep 18, 2009 at 8:42 PM

Can't wait to see what you are going to do with the squirrel pics you've just uploaded. But I'll have to cos I'm going to bedfordshire! Goodnight and sweet dreams.

*eevsdropig* Wasn't 'which bank' by any chance? They turned up to our settlement a coupla weeks ago with the wrong title deed!! Our solicitor said they've made mistakes on just about every sale lately, and they are making peeps wait three weeks for loans, unheard of six months ago. The big banks think they can do anything now they have such a monopoly here in Oz.
