Oh Burcu so very glad to hear from you. Iron bars that was very nice of her to do that for you. That would make me feel safe. The healing will take time. Do you have any kind of insurance for your loss. Here they have renters insurance but its never enough. One night last October i went out to feed the kitties at 1:00 AM when i woke up in my chair. I did it all the time. I looked up and saw someone looking at me and he made a motion to run over. I was in the house so fast and locked the doors. I still didnt feel safe. I dont live in the city so people walking around that time of night is a nono. Glad you, your husband and kitty didnt get hurt. Talk when you hav time. Kitty hugs and prayers sandy
Hi Sandy, thank you for your message. We are still in the same apartment. We wanted to move but we are really in bad situation financially. It is so expensive to find a new apartment and move. We asked our house owner to put iron bars at least on the windows and balconies that can be climbed. So she did. But I can't say I feel safe. I never felt so insecure in my life.. You know we are always against to any kind of violence and we don't own a gun, a baseball bat or even a pepper spray. But it seems at least we need something to defend ourselves. I don't know what I would do if they came when I was alone at home.. We are trying to heal and get back to our feet.. I hope you are doing well and everything is alright. Lucky you. Good for the outside kitties. We had a mix of snow and rain yesterday that made everything mushy with a lousy drive in the morning. Now the wind is drying everything out but throwing tree debris all over the place. I cant win. I cant hope for nice weather until end of March maybe. Glad everyone is on the mend. My daughter and I had a 24 hour flu bug like thing over the weekend. I get so excited having an extra day I get sick. We feel much better and both went to work today. My manager has four kids under ten.When one gets sick they all get sick.Dont want to be them. Kitty hugs Sandy

Burcu, Sorry to hear your husband was so sick. You are probably still trying to get your strength back. Can you imagine having kids and everyone is sick. Hope he is better now. Work stress definitely doesnt help. Our small hospital ER isint to bad for waiting but the big hospital has a long wait. I got the flu shot but thats no guarantee. No flu here yet just a lot of lingering colds - Ive had mine 3 weeks. Other than that everything is fine. Have a three day weekend tomorrow is presidents day. Hi Sandy, how have you and your daughter been?.. I'm sorry it took some time to answer, I was off the computer, it was hubby's time to get the flu. He is usually much stronger than me, but it got worse this week and I had to take him to Emergency. Oh, you wouldn't want to go to Er in Turkey, it's just a chaos. We had a night there. Puppy Bowl is a TV show on Animal Planet. They have it every year with the biggest football game called Super Bowl. Just try Puppy Bowl im sure it will show up. I really like the kitty half time. Are you feeling better. My daughter and I both have a sinus, watery eyes, coughing, crappy feeling but well enough to work thing. Its cool one day, cold the next. We are watching some snow for Wednesday night. Last night it was clear, this morning says snow showers. By wednesday night could be anything. When we have a snow the kitties dont come here for a day or two either. I worry but then they do show. We are getting through February. Today is a big football day The Super Bowl. The food that will be consumed during this game could feed a whole country for a year. Did you see the video about The Puppy Bowl. That show runs from 3:00 until midnight. It sure is cute. Hi Sandy, I'm sorry for answering late. I have been sick lately, had flu. It got worse at the weekend with a terrible headache and cough which made me wake up every 2 hours while trying to sleep. Hi Sandy, thank you so much for all your help with the collectibles, you helped me even when I wasn't around struggling with problems, I might be saying this a lot but it's really important for me (you were helping me, a couple of my friends deleted me from their friends' list when I wasn't here..)... I know that I'll miss hunting collectibles and sharing with friends... Do you know who would turn the water on and why would anybody do that? $800 is a lot of money, I hope that your son in law will fix it, is he good at fixing? I really loved your grandmother's saying, it's absolutely one of the best quotes I've heard lately, she must be a smart person.. Hi Burcu, You are welcome for the collectibles. My daughter had both and I told her to send me one for you and to send you the other. I will miss doing the collectible game. I got the water down to a very slow drip. Someone had turned the water on (outside faucet) and this happened. Im going to hold out for my son in law because winter is tough with the fuel bill. Last time I called a plummer the bill was $800 and that was about 10 years ago. Everyone needs to make a living but most people dont have that kind of money anymore. Oh well been through worse stuff. My grandmother used to say "dont wish your life away" but it would be nice if winter was over. She was right. Every day is precious and we cant get it back. She lived to be 95. Kitty hugs Sandy

Hi Sandy, I'm sorry that you had so many things to struggle. I hope that the hose is fixed so that you won't have that icy garden again, it must be frustrating. Here whenever a problem about water or electricity occurs, I know there will be lots of trouble for us, the technicians come and they tend to change everything and it costs so much *sigh*.... Just usually crappy stuff. Last night I woke up in my chair and went to bed at 1:00. I heard Shady in the litter box. He started gagging and hurled on the bedroom carpet. I was up until 2:00 cleaning it up. This morning I woke up to water coming out of my garden hose (shut off) and there was ice everywhere. The temperature came up and it melted but Im afraid ill have to call a plumber $$$$$$$.My son in law had hernia surgery yesterday so he cant go under and check the connection/pipe. I have a feeling someone turned it on. I had to work so I didnt have much time this morning. Its shut off again but the hose keeps filling so there is a slight leak into the hose. I hope it can be tightened. He said hed look at it tomorrow. Sigh Sandy
