A friend of mine is collecting wooden shoes ( I don't ask, I just find them for her) so unless you know RainbowMaus, send them on to me. As for the other, I'll try to find them a home. I just sent Jelian a FR. Please put in a good word for me.
I though you meant Manheim but it could have also been on the way to Manheim. Lebanon and Manheim were probably more rough and tumble then than they are today. Not to mention, I never met ANYBODY from Manheim who enjoy the car show. I'm easygoing so I liked all the towns. The only thing I hated was ParkCity. I hate shopping. Rare female. I hate shopping and never went there if I did have to. That place is a Money Pit. He made me secretary for all the "wrong" reasons. He quickly found that out. The only reason he needed one was every time one of his secretaries passed me going out the door they never came back. He ran out of possibilities. He regretted it too and put me back in Human Resources. After I got tired of finding him dates, I told his wife.
NW was hard twenty five years ago. It has to be worse now. I also lived in Lebanon and worked at what was Buell. GE bought it while I was there. I was in Human Resources til the President made me his "secretary". But, I lived in my little home with just my schnauzer, Tuborg. I dated and eventually married a policeman so I was happy and safe.
I didn't know that and sent you one about an hour ago. Otherwise I would never ask. I didn't know you were from Lancaster...which direction? I was south down near Willow Street, but I had my offices on the second block of Orange. I lived on Orange Street for years and years in a great house that had iron fittings for doorknobs and all the doors were dutch. Hardwood floors before they were poplular and a little stone patio under a tree. I also had built in bookshelves from floor to ceiling with a balcony and fireplace in the bedroom. My new husband had to drag me out of there kicking and screaming.
Your collection is moving along beautifully. BTW< I adore rucussing. You will enjoy knowing him. Oh, I lived in Lancaster for 25 years even though I am a Southerner through and through. I loved it and the people there. Do you know if you have any coins left? If so, please hold 6 or so for me,would you?
The chaos caused by the collectibles. It is better now that we can send as many as needed, but it was a real mess trying to help someone who had only five friends when you needed to relay. And, because I have a lot of friends, a whole lot of people needed me to relay for them. That's what all the messages were about.
And all willingly, happily offered to you. I delete my messages because I can get up to three pages a day and then more all day. It is the only way I can stay organized and know I have handled something. At one point, maybe October or so. I had 4,000 messages. I worked hard to get it under a 100 and then this mess happened.
