When I lived in Houston, I was a Docent at the Houston Zoological Gardens (volunteer) and got to learn so much much about mammels, reptiles and birds! Also used to have several different birds of my own. Had an African Gray who could really talk. Had a Cockatoo, Dusky Conure, Canary, white ring-necked doves; even had couple pet snakes, too. They're pretty cool.
